AZ officially 2nd and in the 2nd prelimanary round draw today.They protested to UEFA trying to get 1st place by virtue of beating us twice.UEFA meerly confirmed late last night AZ in todays draw.Once the draw is done dont see CAS wanting to get involved.

I second that. Glad Man city are out. As for Lyon, I am not bothered, they face a rampant Bayern Munich.

Why play 2 extra matches when you don't have to? Your season starts earlier than the other teams and will lead to slightly higher fatigue for us.

You need Sevilla to win and somebody to beat Benfica in qualifying. Doesn't matter what happens in CL final.

Worth noting that the coefficient difference between Ajax and Benfica is 0.5 - once again Abramovich buying the result comes back to haunt you....

Honestly being in pot 3 isn't necessarily bad, with a 1 or 2 exceptions I don't care who Ajax draw with, but I would love for Ajax to be in the same group as Juventus and Barcelona! Play Juventus while de Ligt is nursing and recovering from an injury, their defence is meek!

I knew about Benfica, but wasn't aware of Sevilla needing to win. Thanks for the info!

It sucks that the victory which Chelski bought would have a lasting impact on us.

Rooting for Sevilla tomorrow and don't even know what's the state of CL qualifiers TBH.

Inter is currently in Pot 3 below Ajax so if they win then everybody behind them moves up a spot (but not including Ajax)

Viktoria Plzen
AZ Alkmaar
Rapid Wien
Lokomotiva Zagreb
AA Gent

If they win, and depending on how the draws/results go, in the fourth round they will play another one of those teams or:

Besiktas
FK Krasnodar
