Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
i'd much prefer to fix this and keep him and get more goals from him to win the title
i dont like seeing so many rash large changes, which seem rather numerous in recent years

I fully agree. Of course, FdB is absolutely right to bring Ajax back to the 4-3-3. No individual is above that. But given time and proper coaching I can see no reason why El Hamdaoui would not be very useful.bluedaddy19 schreef: el hamdaoui can surely be of great use and he was NEVER given a #10 to play with in the first place, thus telling everyone how he can't play the right way in this system is bullshit
as is so often the case in recent years, this was not handled properly by management, who seems to insist on jerking the squad around repeatedly

Rumors, rumors...
Girondins Bordeaux are said to be interested in our man. Reported offer: 3.5 million, whereas Ajax demand five.
No idea as to whether there's any truth in this.

Did Frank kicked him in the knee (or is it the ankle?), or transmitted him the flu (or was it angina?).

I am curious how he will perform in the 2nd half of season.
Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
With Luis gone , Mounir should definitely be a go to attacker .

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
BREAKING: Mounir El Hamdaoui has been banned from the squad for AZ by Frank de Boer. He has been added to the Young Ajax roster.
De Boer took him off in yesterday's cup game against RKC and the reason was no secret.
Reporter: "Frank, were you dissatisfied with El Hamdaoui's performance?"
De Boer: "Yes. I give my players certain tactical instructions. It is their job to follow those instructions and if they deliberately don't, I have a problem with that."
I'm getting a bit tired of this dude.
Edit: When journalists asked Frank de Boer why he has banned El Hamdaoui from the squad, he confirmed that "something happened" during the half-time break of Ajax vs RKC Waalwijk. He did not want to say why, but admitted there was an "incident" of some sort in the dressing-room.

We always knew this guy was a potential troublemaker. We knew that all along and the club must have known it, too.

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
Yes indeed. But you know, one point is for Martin Jol: with him this guy would have never exceeded with his misbehaviour. Don't know why, but this is my feeling.
I am not saying that's De Boer's fault. Not at all. But this is what happened. Maybe El Ham was thinking that with a younger, inexperienced coach he could do what he wanted. I am completely with Franky: he is showing to have some great balls with this mr-ego-dude.
anyway, as De Boer said, "Mounir is not greater than Ajax. Not myself, too". So we have to think to our present.
with mounir gone (forever?), luis gone, mido gone, cvitanich out of grace (de boer was clearly unsatisfied of last training sessions) we have only Siem De Jong as a striker, and not a so proper one although I like him in that position.
is it the moment for castillion to show himself or suk to resurrect?

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
This is the news that I wake up to?? Wow, it will certainly be quite interesting down the stretch if this ends up being a permanent consignment to the reserves. It probably also means that we will not recoup anywhere close to the club's investment. Maybe Mido can be coaxed back from Egypt???

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
To be precise, De Boer said something like: "He is not bigger than Ajax. I am not bigger than Ajax, either. But I started a process and people who aren't with me will drop out."orange goblin schreef:"Mounir is not greater than Ajax. Not myself, too".
Hats off to Frank. Well done.

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
I don't get it. Why would Frank be upset about a slow, attack-destroying one-footed striker with a bad attitude?Kowalczyk schreef:To be precise, De Boer said something like: "He is not bigger than Ajax. Well, you just describe Siem de Jong except the bad attiutude part. Ok, and the "one-footed" too.aveslacker schreef:I don't get it. I think Siem is a "foot and a half," certainly better than van der Wiel who I don't think has made a left footed pass in his entire playing career!acab schreef:
