Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Well our A1 youths lost 4-2 to PSV today but still lead their league by 1 point over AZ with 1 game to play.A home game against lowly NEC next week and a win will make them champs.
Like both our first and Jong teams they probably cannot wait for the season to end as its been very long and the likes of v d Beek and Nouri need a break. They had Muric playing again today and lined up with 3 wingers as a front 3 ! Clearly today they could do with Owusu, v Bruggen in defence although Sanniez, after 75 mins for Jong Ajax last night came on for 15 mins.

Appie Nouri will forever be remembered for his grace and humanity on and off the pitch!

Bulut, who is 19 and still not contracted scored 3,Cerny 2 and Clement the other.16 year old Nunnely came on for the last 10mins.So we are champs again and qualify for the U19 CL next season.

The first goal seems to be a really terrible mistake by the defense and NEC goalie, but in their defense there was an extremely heavy wind today in the west part of The Netherlands.
Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Final competitive youth games of the season the Annual Copa Amsterdam for U19's this weekend at the Olympic Stadium and the great man JC is there.
Ajax U19 started with a 5-0 win over Rosenborg of Norway.Tomorrow we play Anderlecht and Besiktas.Main team in the other group Arsenal.
Our main U19 players Nouri ,v d Beek, Cerny, Savastano and Mirani are all missing, season over.Muric surprisingly is playing.
One of the few 19 year olds included is A2 youth striker Bulut who is not getting a contract but we sure are getting our money out the kid.Played for the A2 Thursday night and now playing this weekend.
With one team playing someone born in 1995 we being famous for our youth have 3 from 1999.Malen and de Ligt
the best 2 from that age but with the 3rd great talent Nunnely absent his place taken by Justin Kluivert son of.
Tomorrow is the 20th anniversary of winning the CL in 1995 so the hero of that great night Patrick must have been a proud parent today. Justin has been playing at LW though.

Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
U19's lost 1-0 to Besiktas and beat Anderlect 2-1 so are in tomorrows semi v Club Guarani of Paraguay .Anderlecht v Vitesse in the other semi.Arsenal only finished 3rd in the other group so much for their wonderful youth.
Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Having won our semi v Guarani on pens we lost the final to Anderlecht on pens.de Ligt our 15 year old defender was man of the tournament. He has also said he he has turned down offers from abroad and stays with us ,this is great news as he is a big talent.
Thats finally the end of the season for all Ajax clubs

I hope this guy gets a shot at the first team Vaclav Cerny. http://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/ ... 55783.html
Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Cerny rated along with Nouri and v d Beek as the best in our youth to make it.
Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Does Murcic not count as a youth player, just asking. From the clips I've seen he's a pretty solid attacker.SPL schreef:Cerny rated along with Nouri and v d Beek as the best in our youth to make it.

Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Muric does count although he played mainly for Jong Ajax. The 3 I listed were the 3 from this season's main A1 ie U19 team that are rated to make it.
We are about to sign a16 year old Belgium MF from Anderlecht called Franco Antonucci. Lots of big league clubs wanted him.He will sign a 3 year contract and cost us 500,000 euros. His father was quoted as saying we choose Ajax because it has the best training in the world for a footballer.

A-1 youths beat Schalke 3-2 in the CL youth competition away which is a good result. Goals by Nouri, de Ligt, and Cerny. Let's hope they go far in the competition.

Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
I did follow the 2nd half on twitter as there was no tv or streams, didn't get round to posting but you beat me to it.
Cerny Nouri and v d Beek playing makes a big difference, the 2nd leg is 20 Oct .

Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Just reading an article about Arsenal's youth academy. In it it quotes Donyel Maylen wanted £1.8m thats approx.2.4 m euros to sign a 3 year contract.Chelsea had said no to such an amount. Of course Raiola was his agent but that is a crazy amount to pay a 16 year old .The fact he wanted so much and is money orientated means Ajax are well rid .
Fosu-Mensah, Dilrosun and Maylen left purely for money but even had Ajax offered them contracts at16 it can be said the money from England will set them up. However with tax and agents fees Maylen will be lucky to see 25% of that 2.4 m still a lot of money for a16 year old.Probably wont hear about him again until he returns to Volendam where Gylano v Velzen is now ,having failed the grade at Man u.

When Chelsea baulked in the summer at the demands of Ajax forward Donyell Malen, who wanted a contract worth £1.8million over three years, Arsenal stepped in.
Wenger still spoke to his former player Dennis Bergkamp, now assistant boss at Ajax, about the young talent, but Arsenal were unexpected front-runners. They know that there is significant ground to make up and there is a sense of regret that most of their resources and energy has been channelled into the first team in recent seasons.
Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Hi just google daily mail sport and the google pages appear and you will see Arsenal link straight away its in that.

Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
I think Fosu-Mensah has the chance of being a very nice defender. I'm not sure that the other two will make it big.
