At U21level Holland beat Finland 2-0 Siem de Jong scored . Donald and Anita also played.

More talent being used at lower levels as Holland u17 beat Turkey 4-1 with Hahn, Veltman, Ligeon Koppers Boere( who scored a goal) and Bouy all playing.

Finally the U19's are playing 3 games in a tourny and have beaten Portugal 3-1 and drew 1-1 with Ireland. Ebecilo scored a goal in each game . A meer 8 Ajax kids have appeared . Bizot,Van Rhijn, Burnet Bonevacia, Sneijder, Jozefzoon Ebecilo and Castillion. 7 of them played Portugal so it was a case of spotting who was not an Ajax player!

If 1/2 of the above can progress to 1st team football it will be a major success. Glad to see that the youth program is not only alive but well respected by the NT managers!!!

The Dutch U 19's beat Turkey 3-1 to win their 4 team tourny. Castillion scored. As I said 8 players from Ajax in action.

More news of Ajax youth in Holland youth. I would not dwell on U17 level normally but Holland have 2 U17 squads at present. This years U 18's , born in 1992, are playing in the U17 WC next month and are still playing as U17's until then. ( Hahn Koppers Ligeon Veltman Boere, all in our A1 team plus Bouy from our B1 )

This seasons new U17's , born 1993, will play a couple of friendlies in France this month and 9 members of our B1 have been picked , Bartels Denswil, Klaassen and de Sa(these 4 are on 3 year contracts) Schmitz,Niewpoort, Schenk,Sporkslede Fennich with Lizardo on stanby. Player no 11 Ousim Bouy in the
other U17 ( not sure why he has not got a contract yet as he is in the older group)

Just thought it worth recording that basically all our B1 , U17 team have been called up. (I just hope we put them all under contract soon to stop the remaining english child thiefs Man u Arsenal Liverpool and now Man city from trying to bribe their parents in order to steal them. )

No real surprise we have so many at each age group but it remains to be seen how they develop when they get to 20 ish.

Been pre occupied this week as my cricket team Sussex have been involved in abig international event in India but I have kept my eye on the Ajax youth in Dutch teams this week and there have been alot.

Three Defenders!!! Wow, this must be an especially rare occurence; but maybe the youth program is finally focusing some on defense.

Finally, where have you been for the past 2 years? We have a defense completely composed of youth player, midfield + attack = zero. Luckily that midfielder (Ouasim Bouy, only just 16) is arguably our biggest talent at the moment, those defenders aren't actually that promising. In the age group following this one there are 2 solid defenders, have high hopes for them.

Bouy is highly rated but I have asked the question why he has not been contracted as 4 other 16 year olds in our B1 team have? Way back in May when those others were contracted Bouy was to be offered a contract when he was 16 ie June. Any of you Dutch guys know anything? I ask simply because teams like Arsenal Liverpool and Chelsea ( being banned from transfers wont stop them ) must be sniffing around .

I will post here the WC for U17 as 7 Ajax kids are in the squad. They lost their first game 2-1 to Columbia and struggled with the heat and humidity of Nigeria watched most of the game not very impressed with any dutch players.

Of ours Ligeon at Right back made a few attacks up the wing but did not see much of him in the second half . Koppers at centre back was adequate. For the last 15 mins Tom Boere ,a striker came on plus the youngest player in the squad Ouasim Bouy. Neither had the chance to do much. As the goalie Ter Mate
was piss poor I would hope for the next game Warner Hahn from Ajax will play.The Columbians looked the better players.

At youth level the new U17(not the WC U17) qualified for the next round of a European Championship qualifiers with 8 members of our B1 team.They beat Andorra and NIreland and lost to Malta.

At U19 level there are qualifiers next month for a European Cahmpionship and 8 Ajax kids are picked , basically our A1 team.
With 7 others being in the current WC for U17 it means all our B1 and A1 players are playing at youth level for Dutch teams.This does look good for the future and hope some break through for us.

In the U17 WC Holland beat Gambia 2-1 with Ajax lad Tom Boere scoring the winner.
5 Ajax players involved Hahn the goalie, Ligeon and Koppers all started with Boere and Bouy subs.

In the U17 WC Holland lost 1-0 to Iran and finish their group in 3rd place.6 groups , top 2 in each go through to a last 16 plus the 4 best 3rd place teams . The Dutch wont know until tomorrow if they go through .

U17 out of the WC finished 3rd in their group and were not one of the best 3rd place teams. Not a vintage year for the Dutch although playing in the heat of Nigeria is not something they are used to.

As well as the seniors both U21 and U19's were playing european qualifiers this last week.

The U 21 beat Liechtenstein 3-0 , Siem de Jong scored and then went off injured . They beat spain 2-1 with Anita playing.The only other member from Ajax, Sergio Padt the goalie did not play.

At U19 level there were wins v Malta1-0, Czech Rep 1-0(Ebecilio scored the winner), and Cyprus 5-1 (Castillion and Burnet scored). Overall 6 ajax played , Bizot, V Rhijn,Burnet, Bonevacia, Ebecilio, and Castillion(Sneijder was in the squad but dropped out with injury )

To show our talent is currently at U19 and below and not at 20/21 age the Dutch U20 lost a friendly 2-0 to Bayern Munich and only Daley Blind appeared . He was the only Ajax player in the squad.

Plenty of young Ajax at International levels this week .

Last night the Dutch u 19 drew 1-1 with England. Only 3 Ajax played Bizot, Burnet, who scored the only goal , and V Rhijn . Ebecilo and Castillion were in the squad but dropped out with injuries. Sneijder
Bonevacia and Jozefzoon were all standby players and never made the final 18 squad.Not sure what this says of them!!!!!

Yesterday's Netherlands v. USA match was like an Ajax system informercial.... Wesley Sneijder, Rafael van der Vaart , Nigel de Jong, Gregory van der Wiel, Johnny Heitinga ,Maarten Stekelenberg. Add KJH and it was Ajax or oude Ajax home week . Sad about the result and Stuart Holdens fibula break, but happy for the chance to watch so many Ajacieden.

Holland U20 , promising team team lost 2-1 to Slovenia no Ajax players.

At least we had plenty in action for Holland U17s v Greece . Holland won 2-0

An 8th Jip Bartels would also have played but now has a long term injury.

Van Marwijk has named his training squad, the preliminary-preliminary squad for the World Cup if you will. And Vernun Anita has been given his first call-up to Oranje, would be a good sign if he could make the final squad in the end.

at U 19 level 3 european qualifiers coming up we are down to just 4 of our youths . Bizot, V Rhijn, Sneijder and Ebecilio.(FWord has 6!) These 4 played a friendly this week v S Korea , won 1-0 and Bonevacia also played . But for these 3 qualifiers he is only a standby along with Hahn, and Jozefzoon . Burnet is injured and he would have been picked , also Castillion has been injured since Feb.

Not a great day for Dutch youth yesterday . The U 21 lost 3-1 to portugal in a friendly . Siem de Jong scored the only goal and Sergio Padt made his debut . Another friendly v Portugal on Friday .

Dutch U 19's playing a pre qualifying group for European U19 championships. Drew 0-0 with Slovakia.If only 1 team from the group go through then Holland will likely miss out as Germany beat Poland 4-1 in the other match .Dutch play those teams in the next 4or 5days.

Sneijder has dropped out through injury so only 2 Ajax played V Rhijn and Ebecilio. (Bizot is the only Ajax player in the squad which contains several Fword youths ).

I notice that on Eurosport channel they are showing the Toulon U 20 tournement . Holland are not in this year having competed for several years. Also showing is the European U 17 championship and Holland sadly did not qualify inspite of having several of our B1 team .

Will soon be time for the real thing though .The main Oranje team.
