Ajax are looking to extend Blind and Alderweireld, both currently to 2010 and Van der Wiel ,currently to 2011(not 2010 as quoted on sites today)

Van der Wiel has evidently agreed , to 2013or 2014. No official confirmation yet.

Darko Bodul joined last summer on a year contract with a 2 year option .
Ajax are taking up the option and signing him to 2011. Good to see we are extending contracts for our young talent.

This is good news. We have a lot of good young players and even when one looks at the first team, the average age is very young!! Let's hope that MVB can make something of the talent.

Today Blind extended his contract until june 2013

Smart move. Especially with the likes of Gabri here only in the short term.

Appears Van der Wiel has verbaly agreed to an extension to 2013. Only
Vermeer is left to extend at present.

4 members of our youth team are to sign contracts.This has not come on the official site and no details are known.

All are 18 and the first 3 are regulars in the A1 team. Ozbiliz has only played as a sub for the senior A1 team but is leading scorer for the A2 team.

The only 3 regulars of this years A1 not yet contracted are Bizot,the regular goalie, Shakison left back and Marvin Zeegelaar the left winger who played for the first team at Volendam in the cup. He was interesting
Juventus back in October so hope he is going to be signed by us.

One of the articles about these kids says Zeegelaar has not yet been offered a contract. Given that Juve fancied him and that he has played for our first team, which the other 16 youth players with full contracts have not done, I hope we are not being silly and letting a talent go!! It may well be that the 4 kids mentioned earlier today are just agreeing basic contracts whereas Zeegelaar is negotiating a longer deal worth a bit more !!

Given that todays news has no source I will await official news.

Just read, but not yet on official site, that Kappelhof has been given a contract to 2010 and Van der Meulen and Overtoom to 2011.Ozbiliz is still in talks. Good news but Bizot the goalie and Zeegelaar are not yet mentioned but have been involved in first team action. Very odd.

Gregory van der Wiel has signed a contract to 2013, on the official site.

Ajax are also talking an extension with Alderweireld. Danny Blind is doing a good job putting these lads under long contracts.

Of those whose contracts run out this summer, Gentenaar and Martina can go and only Leo and Schilder left to decide.

Alderweireld has agreed a contract to 2014, nothing yet signed so not confirmed but more good news.

Goossens has signed with Twente apparently. Good job - we shall now buy him for 10 million in 2 years as an up and coming talent.

Ozbiliz is the only one who has not played for our reserves and in fact does not even play for the A1 ie the senior youth team other than sub sometimes.

I would like to know why Marvin Zeegelaar has no contract and yet has played for our Ist team and is now playing regular for our reserves??

Given that Juve fancied him I am wondering whether he will leave us!!

Randel Shakison the A1 left back has not been given a contract yet but he is now playing for our reserves and last night kept Supusepa out of the team , and he has a contract to 2010.

It may be that Ajax are negotiating with these 2 but I cannot understand why Zeegelaar was not signed on contract back in November when he played for our 1 st team !!!!!!!!!!!!! He is a left winger and not just another midfielder .

Do any of you guys in Amsterdam know what is going with Zeegelaar???

At long last. Just before the start today official site confirms that Marvin Zeegelaar has signed a contract from Jan 2009 to June 2011. Well
done and about time.


I can stop moaning about this now!! Mind you Shakison and the young goalie Marco Bizot should still be contracted as they are the only regular members of our senior A1 youth team without contracts.

I thought Daley Blind had signed his new contract to 2013 before Christmas but official site now shows him signing .

Darko Bodul has agreed an extension to 2011

To be correct I believe Ajax have agreed the option to extend Bodul's contract.There is a similar situation with Enoh, who also has an option which Ajax are to take up.

On the dutch site there is a thread contractspelers and recently they have listed all the players and the date their contracts expire.

Today they have updated to include no. 76 Koppers but more interesting someone has posted the annual salaries of several players and this is an eye opener. I did know what we pay Atouba and Luque
and know we do not pay our young reserevs that much but listing them they look an aweful lot of money.

Perhaps someone can put this list on this english site (I would but my computer knowledge is crap)

The amount of money being paid out to the 4 spare defenders is over 90000 euros a week .
Oleguer did play well on Sunday against 2 old slow forwards but look what that 16 year old did against him v Anderlecht.Wielaert at 450000 is modest.

If Urby is being paid 1.3m then I can see why he is not being offered more.

Luque I believe we are paying some of his money ! Last season we were paid some fee for his loan and I believe(correct me if I am wrong , I know you will!! ) we probably did not pay any of his salary .
I am sure back in August the club he was on loan to could not pay us any fee and could not afford the wages.

Finally Sno 1.1 m ,and he cost us over 1m to buy . Words fail me .

I believe there was talk of us paying 10000 per week whilst he is on loan )

The club cannot keep paying stupid salaries to 2nd rate players.

It is truly remarkable how incompetent we have been with some of these buys. I cannot believe that Sno earns that much money.

I would quess that of the others not listed Kennedy, Vertonghen and V d Wiel and Sulejmani will be earning between 700K and 1m . Lindgren probably similar to Wielaert ie max 500K but Gabri must be on well over 1m nearer to 1.5 .

Those over 1m and not first choices are the ones that have to go . At least Luque and Ogararu will be off our books come June .But Sno Oleguer and sadly Gabri, who has too many injuries, must go , plus Atouba possibly.

Currently Ajax are talking to Pantelic and Eriksen whose youth contract runs to June 2011. They are also looking to extend Enoh . He has a 2year option which Ajax intend to take but obviously they are looking to sign him on a longer contract .

Ajax announced this week that all contract talks bar those relating to Christian Eriksen have been postponed until after May 2 - last game of season. Apparently, the financial situation at the club is a lot worse than initially feared and until the club know situation of what European competition we will be in next year they are not willing to offer players extensions. So Urby and Pantelic will now have to sit tight and wait.

I would not expect many new signings for next year and fear that if offers are put in for a few of our more promising youngsters they will be accepted.

The farce of our transfer policy was summed up this week. They team that started v Psv cost 14m euros ie Suarez and de Zeeuw only cost money . The Jong team v ADO on monday cost 31.75m euros.
What a joke and no wonder we have lost 20m euros this season.

Alot depends on qualifying for CL . If we do not then Urby Vd Wiel and even Vertonghen could join Suarez in being sold.
