new A1 coach is Alfons Groenendijk ,played for us back in the 90's and coached our Jong a few years ago .Has been Willem 's coach and recently Den Bosch . Seems an experienced man who has had Ajax connections .Perez will be his assistant.

17 year old Ricardo Kishna a highly rated left winger in our A1 has only just returned from 18 months out with cartilage problems to his right knee and today I read he has serious problems with his left knee,possibly a similar injury . What dreadful news for a young kid who in these last 2 months ,after such a long injury, has been getting very good reports. Hope its not so bad and he can still make a career with Ajax.

In the Next Gen series our A1 lost 2-0 to CSK Moscow today in Moscow but are still 2nd in the group.(there are 6 groups and the top 2 in each group plus 4 best 3rd place sides go through to kO rounds)

we were without Fischer and Andersen and Kishna sadly injured and no over age players as Sporkslede and de Sa have played v Molde

The new Football Manager game is out and I noticed that Stefano Denswill was seriously highly regarded. Not seen anything of him myself and not heard any severe hype so was wondering if this was based on anything or just one of their own researchers being his uncle.

Our A1 ie U19 won 2-1 v CSK Moscow in the nextgen yesterday ,as reported under Young Ajax heading, and stay 2nd in the group with 2 games against another Russian team to come Chelski!!!

Menig and V d Boomen scored the goals. ( in english google translates V D Boomen to Branco of the Trees, magic translation)

Playing Chelsea in the next Gen series today in England. V d Hart ,our 3rd choice goalie plus Lucas Andersen are in the squad and 3 over age players ie 19 this year, are de Sa and Sporkslede, as I assumed when they did not play for Jong on Monday night, plus Schenk.

We still have to play them at home in January but are fairly certain to get to the final 16 which is then KO stages.

UEFA are taking this over next year but the 32 teams involved will be the 32 teams in the main CL group stages .Looks like money and the big boys are taking over.

I saw this as well and it's a total joke. A lot of the big teams that play in CL football have terrible academy programs because they just go out and buy players and don't care about youth development. UEFA is just trying squeeze money out of every possible location. I imagine that we will move on to age group UEFA sponsored competitions with 10 year old players. This is not a good thing!

good result .Apart from Andersen we had 10 Dutch kids playing and only V d Boomen is not a local lad having come from Tilburg.

Not sure of all the details but we are to be the first non Russian team to set up a youth academy in Russia. Evidently we are setting up football schools first with a Russian based academy in 2015. When it comes to youth development Ajax lead and the world follows. I always say to guys over here that Barca's youth acdemy is based on Ajax and everyone else has followed.

On the playing front I note in todays A1 2-1 cup win over Heerenveen a young striker called Jordi Bitter played his first game after 18 months out through injury . He has a contract to 2014 so wish him well .

We are to sign a 15 year old Czech lad called Vadav Cerny from FC. Pribram .He is a left winger but as he is not 16 until October he wont be joining until next January ,presumably on a 3 year contract.

He did play for our u15's,whilst on trial, back in May in a tournement in Singapore. I remember seeing this on Eurosport.

Final qualifying game of the Next Gen currently being played v Chelsea(No streams but on Ajax Tv which we non Dutch cannot get !!) We have qualified to the KO stages but a win tonight means we are top of our group

Into the last 10 mins and we are losing 3-2 Bitter and de Sa the goals.

A last min goal by De Bondt meant we drew 3-3 after being 3-1 down . We do qualify for the last 16 but I gave duff info as we finished 2nd in our group behind CSK Moscow .(We had already qualified though as 3rd place in this group ,now Chelsea , were already through as one of the 4 best 3rd place teams, all other games were finished before Christmas)

For the record subs used were Kuipers( also no contract) for Rosheuvel in the 1st half so could be an injury. In the 2nd half Keskin for V d Boomen,Menig for Bitter and de Bondt for Lazic.

A good comeback and hope we avoid Barcelona in the next round.Of course we can still play Fischer and Andersen as both are 18 and Menig!

Bad news we lost 2-1 to Villa and are out the next Gen having been beaten finalists last season. Subs used in the 2nd half V d Boomen ,Keskin,Becker de Bondt all regular A1 players.The only A1 regular missing was striker Menig .

This years A1 seem alot less talented than last years although in this competition I do not agree with playing overage players ie de Sa and Boccara have not really added anything today.

A lot of debate and coverage about 2x 15 year olds from our B1 U17 team ie Nouri and Dekker . With 7 team mates now under contract these 2 lads will be 16 within the next 2 weeks and reports say they wont be given contracts and may leave for PSV.

The new policy appears to be that kids who are 17 this year and who are moving up to the A youths will get contracts but lads just 16 this year who are to stay at B1 level wont and these 2 lads are staying at B1 level next season. These 2 lads are highly rated and Nouri is described as the best talent in the youths. He is an attacking midfielder/ No10 scores goals and makes Anita look like a giant ,he is that small .Dekker is mainly a left winger.

Reports say that Cruyff and the de Boers want to give them contracts but Jonk and Overmars say no. This appears to be some local reporter called Henk Spaan who is anti Cruyff and the current Ajax set up by the sounds of it.

Nouri is also reported to want more money than the normal youth contracts so we await developments. You can only sign a contract aged 16 and for a max 3 years in Holland .

Cannot believe Ajax would risk letting 2 talents leave to another Dutch club .Not sure anyone is certain there is a new policy as a lad called Vissers joined from Sparta Rotterdam last summer aged just 16 and signed a 3 year contract and has only played in the B1.

Regarding to everyone Nouri is the biggest talent in the academy at the moment. He will be offered a contract for sure, but the kid is only 15 at the moment. When a B1 player signs a contract, it normally starts in January. That means that Nouri will be 16 for 8 months without getting paid a salary.

A couple of media are suggesting that the guy will be seduced by PSV with more perspective. Bullshit in my opinion. When you talk about perspective you can forget one very important thing for sure when you are a youth player in Eindhoven. Playing for the first squad will remain an illusion.
