TV comentator on russian eurosport told that Hiddink was offered wage 5-10 million euro per year. So maybe the rumours are true.

I don't know why, but I have the feeling that Guus will be the next
England head coach. England will screw up at the WC as usual, Eriksson will be sentenced to death and resign.

Eriksson is going, whatever happens, after the World Cup. All the news in England is that the new head coach will be British (though not necessarily English). The papers have been making much that this includes Martin O'Neill who was born in Northern Ireland so presumably has a British passport but nearly opted to play for the Republic rather than Northern Ireland which would have ruled him out under that rule.

.....but that's probably just paper-talk and a diversion so who knows.

Eriksson gets his Scandy ass fired after the elimination in the first stage of the WC. Mark my words.

I would probably agree with you but he is already definately 100% going after the World Cup, whatever happens. That was all agreed after the "Fake Sheikh" newspaper sting a few weeks back (The News of The World, the bigest selling Sunday tabloid have an "investigative" reporter who famously dresses as an Arab Sheikh, robes and the like and then arranges meets with famous people armed with a microphone and a convincing story....Eriksson was very indiscreet!) :D

Yeah, what a bunch of twats... Hilarious.

Okay, we're having a crap season, but if we have a season as good as they're having one at the moment, we lift the shield at the end of the journey. For sure. If we can win the title, we do it. Why? Because we're winners when it all comes down to it. Feyenoord, however, have this amazing talent for shooting themselves in the foot and leaving their fans behind, foaming with frustration.

They've done it again. This should have been their season - and they f*cked it up. Now they'll have to wait for a long, long time again, cos next season we'll strike back.

A crap season ? We are still in the Dutch Cup, feyenoodles aren't. We are still in the CL, they were sacked from the UEFA Cup long ago. And we will most likely beat them in the playoffs and play the CL next season, they won't.

They are crap.

you fuck up = UEFA cup :D

If Az beat F'noord next game, then going by the remaining fixtures for Ajax, AZ and F'noord ... looks very probable that we will face F'noord in the playoff semi.

I had assumed that F'noord were guaranteed a place in the UEFA Cup now they must finish in the top 5. But I found this through the KNVB website http://files.datawire.nl/uploads/images ... nstand.pdf

It seems to suggest that they could end up where they belong, in the Intertoto.

If F'noord belong in the Intertoto then where do we belong?

I think it is crazy that one week a club play-off for a Champions league spot; the next week they may lose out on European competition altogether.

Yeah, that diagram thing looked totally mad to me, absolute nonsence, all the unfairness of the English league promotion play-offs with added extras as well :nooo:

Yeah. AZ and Feyenoord will be #2 and #3, possibly in reversed order, but they will be the ones finishing closest to PSV.

The race for the #4 and #5 spots is (unfortunately) much more exciting...

By the way: in the First Division it is now 99% certain that Excelsior will win the championship and go up directly. That's a little bit shit, really.

JOL 'NOT INTERESTED' IN PSV
By Adrian Curtis, PA Sport

Tottenham head coach Martin Jol has ruled himself out of the running for the PSV Eindhoven job should Guus Hiddink quit in the summer.

The Dutch giants have suggested Hiddink will leave the club at the end of the season and want him to make a decision about his future before next month.

Hiddink, also currently coach of Australia, has been linked with the national team job in Russia and tipped as a possible successor to Sven-Goran Eriksson as England boss after the World Cup finals.

Hiddink has yet to make his intentions clear but, if he opts to leave, there is growing speculation in Holland that Jol will top PSV's shortlist of possible successors.

However, the Spurs coach flatly denied he had any intention of leaving White Hart Lane to go back home.

"Hiddink is still there but it is always the same if someone leaves a club like Ajax, Feyenoord or PSV, they all link coaches with Dutch clubs," he said.

"Feyenoord is a big club but in Holland they think of Spurs as a big club. Feyenoord have 50,000 fans on average, PSV is the same. They are a Champions League club.

"I think that structurally we can do the same in the next couple of years. It is easier in Holland than over here I promise you.

"I would not be interested in the job. I am focused on this club. This is my first club as a manager and I love this club.

"My plan is to stay here and hopefully improve our football and get the results. Then in the next couple of years we can be as good as the top four clubs in England.

"All the ingredients are there, the organisation is there, the fanbase is there, everybody is waiting for me and the players."

Jan Timmer, a member of PSV's supervisory board, believes Hiddink will leave PSV at the end of the season because of the increasing speculation in Holland.

Timmer will now have to look elsewhere for a replacement as Jol is adamant he will not walk out on Spurs.

"I don't know it officially yet, but everything points in the direction that Guus Hiddink will leave PSV," Timmer told De Telegraaf.

"If you line up all the speculation, and reports in the newspapers, then you will have to be a bad reader to conclude something else.

"And also the body language of Hiddink does indicate it. But the only one who can really tell is Hiddink himself.

"I find it disturbing how it has all gone. In my opinion, a decision-forming process doesn't have to be realised in this way.

"I totally don't agree with the way things are going and I have also said that to Hiddink."

That's good news, as Jol would have been an excellent choice by PSV... He's was great for RKC, he's great for Spurs and I am convinced he would have been great for Ajax or PSV, too.

We really need PSV to land a crap manager. We've had a few in recent years; now it's time for them to take some bad decisions for a change! It would be cosmic justice!

Maybe I'm imagining things but he always gives me the feeling that he'll never want to be coach in Amsterdam. Ecpecially when he was approached around the days of Koeman's departure. But acually in any interview he gives. In the interview I quoted above for instance he mentions Feyenoord as a big club...

Which presumably means that either the Russia, England, Australia or some other job for next year is pretty much a done deal. The biggest open secret in football is finally confirmed anyway. As for PSV, well Graham Rix is available :D
