As far as I can tell from the incorporation, the club does not pay any dividends out so the shareholders won't receive any money. Personally, I think the club is being quite prudent from a fiscal point of view and does not want to overspend on bringing new players in. Remember we have had a pretty bad history over the last 7 years or so in this regard. I know it's difficult for all of us to see what PSV have done, particularly in getting bailed out by Eindhoven last summer. It would be better if Ajax owned the Arena and could generate further revenues from its use in the same way that FC Twente do.

What is this? We lose the most important player in the team and what do we do? Nothing. Did they actually think that Blind could step up and fill the shoes left by Jan? Come On. Moisander might be a bit overrated, but I dont think he would still be among the worst signings we have made in the past couple of years. Think of the money wasted on El ham, Sulejmani, Atouba, Kouffur, Wialert... And why didn't we just keep Bulikyn as a back up? We should have the money to sign a couple of decent players. What are they waiting for? We're going to get humiliated in the CL and PSV seems pretty strong. So it won't be good for the shareholders either if we crash out of Europe quicly and lose the league title and the place in the CL.

Plus we just sold Ozbiliz for peanuts -- further weakening the team. Seems like the board decided to save money on players this year. They must have figured since we won the championship the last two years the supporters won't grumble if we take this year off.

If they are being careful and not spending money on new players its a pity they do not do something about ensuring our top players do not leave for peanuts ie Anita Toby and Eriksen are now into the last 2 years of their contracts and imo will certainly be leaving next summer. I can see all 3 not renewing so next year as usual we we see our top players leave on the cheap with a year left on their contracts.

Back to signings I am all for giving our own youth a chance given the money we have wasted over the last few years but you cannot replace Vertonghen with Blind or even Denswil.

How anyone can value Ozbiliz for more than €1M is beyond me. The kid was hurt last season and there's still not a guarantee that he will pass a physical at his new club. While he has pace and quickness, he never showed the intelligence on the pitch, constantly dribbling into traps that a more skilled player would have avoided. If all the wingers are healthy, he is at best a third choice and not worthy of being kept on the roster. We do need another central defender but our record in the transfer market has been quite poor in this regard. We'll see if Moisander is available now that the Anderlecht deal fell through and of course Ajax will always have to pay a premium for Eredivisie players which is unfortunate.

Sulejmani is the one we should have gotten rid of -- what a waste he turned out to be. IMO Ozbiliz proved to be a far more valuable contributor.

As to Sana and Lukoki -- Sana is untried -- why kill your tried and tested best option on the hope that an unknown factor will produce more. Lukoki shows promise but needs a year on the bench to gain the experience he presently lacks. Actually, I saw him as the backup for Ozbiliz and thought they would make a really good combination.

The left wing is another story altogether. Boerrigter seems to have injury problems and, given his history, you can't build for a season on the assumption that he is going to be healthy and stay healthy. Fisher, like Lukoki, shows promise, but also needs a year on the bench to gain experience.

So -- all in all -- as the season start fast approaches and we weaken the team while doing seemingly nothing to strengthen it -- barring some last minute really good signings, it looks to be a long and hard season. I think the way we got manhandled by PSV in the recent Shield game does not bode well.

I think they should buy Moisander as an experienced CD is vital. Nuytinck Viegerver are both young with just a couple of seasons behind them but I see no point in us signing youngsters like this as Denswil will be ready in another year and will be standby CD this season.
