Re: Players Leaving Ajax
We do need Boer as Krul is not match fit . Jong Ajax we have Leeuwenburgh plus V Bladeren who is a 1st year and has only been an unused sub once or twice.Alblas is out injured.
We have 2 pro league teams so we have Onana Krul Boer Leeuwenburgh plus v Bladeren so we cannot afford to let Boer go.If anything Krul must go and we should bring in a decent no 2 who can challenge Onana and is actual fit. The current position with Krul is a joke. If Onana is banned we have to play Boer as Krul is still not match fit!!
Apart from Gudelj and Serero the only player completely surplus who is never going to play is Westermann. After Sanchez, both Veltman and de Ligt would be ahead of him as CD .Riedewald covers for Viergever.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Also, Boer is 36 years old and has close to zero transfer value. I can't remember when his contract expires but he's not going anywhere in January. He's a capable #2 and I'm sure the club will sort things out at the end of the season in terms of all the youth keepers and whether they are capable of stepping up to the first team as a second choice. I think Onana has performed way beyond what I expected him to do and he certainly looks capable of being the Ajax keeper for some years to come.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Boer's contract runs to next summer so he will leave then.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Plenty of rumours even though it was Christmas Day.
Roma for El Ghazi 12m has been going around for a few days. With Traore out for January will be surprised if we sell him next month.
Fennebache want Schone will pay 2m or 3m .No way can we sell him in January a vital part of the side.Hope we give him another year .
O.Marseilles want to sign Ziyech for 15m. Well he played for Twente this season and you cannot play for 3 clubs in a season so this really is made up nonsense.

Is that a FIFA rule? Interesting, I really didn't know this.SPL schreef: O.Marseilles want to sign Ziyech for 15m. Well he played for Twente this season and you cannot play for 3 clubs in a season so this really is made up nonsense.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Yes, that indeed is a FIFA rule. But they can still buy him ofcourse, as a really early summer transfer :) Anyway, won't happen.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Roma now want to get El Ghazi on loan for the rest of the season and an option to buy for only 8m euros. Hope Overmars tells them where to go.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
That's ridiculous! el Ghazi seems to have his head on straight and I think with a good 2nd half of the season can only increase his value. Besides the club is short on wingers right now.SPL schreef:Roma now want to get El Ghazi on loan for the rest of the season and an option to buy for only 8m euros. Re: Players Leaving Ajax

Just come out of Zenit supporters "emporium", here in St Petersburg.....VERY strong word here, especially as I'm wearing Ajax shirt, being "well treated" with alcohol....that Gudelj is wanted....and that money is available!!! I think they seemed a little amazed when I said that Ajax would probably PAY Zenit to take him!!!
Any truth in this rumour...or is it just the Russian drink affecting me?

Re: Players Leaving Ajax

Seems like he is wanted over here...don't know how he'd put up with the cold as he wore gloves in Amsterdam!!!! Feeling is that Zenit need a defensive midfield player cos they MIGHT lose their def midfield to EPL.....anyone who comes here to play in polyester kits for 3-4 months MUST be well paid....it's bad enough having polyester Ajax kit on underneath a fleece and coat while INSIDE a pub!!!!!

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
And I thought Amsterdam was cold early last month when it barely got above 0 degrees.
Ian you will look forward to returning to the warmth of Greece.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax

Steve, as I write now, it's positively "hot" here in St P...it's 3C...no snow, but this is just a lull for us.."promised" -20C by mid February....lovely thing is that the vast majority of houses, (flats), in Russia are extremely well heated by their hot water system...comes as part of the "rent" (local tax)...so coming here for two months, into a warm flat saves us quite a lot as even in Agios Nikolaos, the temperature and humidity mean that heaters and de-humidifiers have to be on most of the time ..... yes, it will be nice to get back...but not until the cold season finishes....must be soft now as 10C in Ag Nik is cold.......-25C in St Petersburg is "wintry"....

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Cheers Ian ,of course living down here in Worthing on the South Coast we never get real cold weather!! Rarely see snow or temps below 0 Degrees
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Good that you are wearing our colors also in St Petersburg!
Despite Rostov made us look like losers, I've noticed that Ajax now in 2016 (and 2017) still has a big reputation in Russia.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Well Zenit are not getting Gudelj he is off to China for 6m euros and he is to be paid 17m euros over 3 years !!! Over 100,0000 per week for someone who is not good enough to play for Holland's current no 2. I am delighted we are getting rid of him . We get our money back, that we paid for him ,and a very moderate player who does not fell motivated to sit on our bench is off.I guess for 100,000 he will be motivated.
The club Tianjin Teda have been coached by a real Ajax man and legend the great Arie Haan .
Not sure what this means for Premier league as he now earns more than anyone at Liverpool or Spurs and more than a lot at the big 4 Man c,Man u Arsenal and Chelsea.

Looks like any run of the mill player can make super bucks in China. I'm ready to come out of retirement. Where do I sign?SPL schreef:Well Zenit are not getting Gudelj he is off to China for 6m euros and he is to be paid 17m euros over 3 years !!! Over 100,0000 per week...

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
China have so much money to build up a professional football league that it's not even funny.
ADDED: I just saw that Axel Witsel, a starter for the Belgian NT, picked a Chinese team over Juventus. Also, Carlos Tevez got huge money even though he is at the tail end of his career. Chelsea's Oscar who is still young has moved to China as well.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
I really don't understand players going to third world countries. Is the money really worth it? China, albeit, a beautiful country, is a brutal dictatorship. As for Turkey, the security situation there is deteriarating fast. I can see most Dutch players returning to Holland by the Summer. I wouldn't be surprised if they returned in January, considering the current climateOrange14 schreef:China have so much money to build up a professional football league that it's not even funny.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Not so sure about them leaving so soon, it is not so bad, at least not for them yet. Actually, ex Ajax player just signed for Besiktas - Ryan Babel.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Just need to get rid of Serero and Westermann this month.I would hope El Ghazi will stay until the summer
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Celtic Reading and Bordeaux all want Serero ,hope he goes and gets a club where he can play regularly.
