This day last year Man U came in at the last minute for Daley Blind. The rumours are that de Gea is going and I am now fearing the worst. As the deadline is monday midnight in Holland nothing about Cillessen but fear he will go.We dont have long to replace him.Worst nightmare Vermeer comes back and we pay well over the 1m we sold him for.Warner Hahn ,Fwords other ex Ajax goalie seems much better but they wont sell him.

Nb.Of course England make up their own rules and their deadline is 18.00 on Tuesday, ie Monday being a Bank holiday

What is the logic of allowing players to transfer during the season? I think I say this every year but Ajax should inform players when they sign their contracts that they won't be answering transfer enquiries after the season starts. Cuts both ways, we should consider the squad we have on matchday 1 to be final until the winter stop.

Trouble is the start of each season changes depending on whether there are summer competitions (Euros, WC) and this year the Dutch league started earlier. Also leagues that have a winter break tend to start earlier as well. Lots of managers don't like the overlap in the transfer period but they can always say no to a transfer like Everton just did with John Stones refusing to let him leave for Chelsea. I don't think Ajax will let Cillessen leave unless the offer is something outrageous. Personally, I think Romero is pretty much equivalent to Cillessen and has performed well so far this season. I don't think our keeper is going to leave.

Still very quiet on de Gea and nothing in any Dutch sites about Cillessen. Given freedom of movement in the EU I don't see why there is a transfer deadline.

papers here do suggest de Gea will go but Valdes's move to Turkey is off so maybe they will loan him to us.He would have to be better than Vermeer or Groningen's Sergio Padt,one of many Ajax youth goalies in the league.

Assuming Gudelj, Sinkgraven, Bazoer, and Klaassen all stay healthy, I cannot see Serero getting minutes. We also have van de Beek who is a much better player now and for the future. If someone wants Serero he should be sold and Duarte can be kept as a back up.

Boilesen left the Danish NT camp with a minor knee problem and won't be playing in their Euro qualifiers. It's no wonder that he couldn't find a club this summer given his injury history. I feel sorry for him on that level. I guess we have him this year for better or worse. Dijks has a torn groin muscle and there is no indication about the length of his absence so perhaps Boilesen will see some action.

Boilesen wanted 1.7m euros pa contract renewal which is over our max, he decided to find a bigger league and is now stuck here with little hope of playing very much.We asked 2.7m euros for him and given his injury record no one is going to pay anything for him.

Duarte is stuck for 2 more years and with Serero also spare these 2 will have to play for Jong Ajax.

Finally I have spent all summer fearing de Gea will leave and they take Cillessen ,Man u and Real are now both laughing stocks over the way the transfer was handled and the end with it falling through.

De Telegraaf is reporting that Ajax rejected an 18.5M€ bid from Napoli for Dany Klaasen on the final day of the transfer window.

Davy also turned it down ,he has said he wants to stay for maybe 2 more years and is open to an extended contract currently runs to 2018.He is clearly sensible lad.

Even if wanted to leave doubt whether Napoli would be very high up the list

i saw on skysports yesterday that Stoke, Southampton and Everton are interested in taking El Ghazi in January??! hope not... he would be foolish to go to one of those clubs at this stage.

Dont think he will go anywhere until 2017 .Certainly he wont go to one of those nondescript teams.One big problem with filling your team with young kids is that we wont keep them for long if they develop.Ajax and its youth are still looked upon as the best .

Most scouts will be looking at ELGhazi,Klaassen, Riedewald, Tete and Bazoer to see how they develop.Think these will only get better and by 2018 will all be gone.

Bazoer, Barca looking, Man City may be ready to offer

Manchester City was already in the market for Bazoer in the season that Bazoer decided to leave PSV Eindhoven for Ajax.

His brother and mother had long talks with him and the conclusion was that Bazoer was too young to leave Utrecht (where the family lives) for playing in a foreign country and that staying at Ajax until 2018 (or longer) would be the best thing for the guy.

Todays rumours say Real Madrid sends scouts for Bazoer but to refer to Cruijff's post above Bazoer has said this week in an interview he wants to stay until about 22 and his dream move is to Barca. He evidently lives in Amsterdam with his agent brother and clearly his mother is a sensible figure in his life.

Bazoer is 19 on Monday so staying to 22 basically means 2018 before he moves,lucky he has signed a contract to 2020.

On the subject of age Riedewald made his Oranje debut 2 or 3 days before his 19th birthday so Bazoer can do the same and debut at 18 if he plays tonight. Tete ,who is due to start tonight was 20 yesterday so we are now down to only 2 teenagers in our own squad.

v d Hoorn ,who played for Jong Ajax on Monday, wants to leave in the winter transfer period. Dont think he is any worse than Veltman but paying 4m for someone when you already have a player just as good was just plain stupid.

Viergever also said he is unhappy with his position.Unlike v d Hoorn ,who could be decent, Viergever is not good enough and at best just a bench warmer.

I have put this before but with 4 or 5 young talents being watched by all of Europe we also have a few first team squad who are not regular starters and will leave ,if not January then in the winter.

Not counting Boilesen and Duarte,both in limbo,not picked and neither wanted last summer, we have 21 first teamers. V Rhijn,v dHoorn Viergever and Serero are not going to stay as bench warmers,add Heits and Sanogo ,neither good enough and should not be signed it will be interesting how our squad shapes up for next season.

We have lots of young talent coming through but watching Jong Ajax most playing are not good enough!

Yes, much worse. His handling speed (and also his thinking capacities) are just soooo slow that it really makes you wonder why on earth he even plays professional football..?
