Klaas-Jan Huntelaar

Meant to add in my rant about the f---ing english press and their stupid rumours that in addition to the strikers mentioned for Arsenal I overlooked Baptista, last season at Real Madrid , who only gets on the bench and of course I overlooked a 17 year wonder kid striker Walcott, who also only gets on the bench.
KJH would have some competition at Arsenal. Hope he sees sense and stays here for another year or two.
Here endeth my rant.

As I have just put on the players leaving posting we need KJH all this season to help us win the title.
I hope he stays to 2008 for the sake of Ajax but also because imo I do not think he is ready for a big club in the big leagues at present. Already this season he is not scoring quite as freely as last ( Except when he played the Fword!!! ). He is still needs this season and next here at Ajax before he goes up a level.
I would be interested to know what the rest of you think ? He himself probably knows this!!.

I've heard talk that, according to Algemeen Dagblad, Juve is offering 20 million Euros for Huntelaar. Can anyone confirm this?
EDIT: According to this link there is probably less to it than it would seem. Apparently the interest is reported by Gazzetto Della Sport. I'm not reading much into it myself at this point.

I keep reading that Juve have no money. They can only offer 1m euros for Grygera and have been linked with bosmans etc.
They would be the last club on this planet I would do business with after Zlatan transfer. They still owe us some money for him and wont pay up until summer of 2008.
We cannot do much about Grygera as he has agreed to join them but if they want KJH or any other player under contract Ajax should tell them where to go.
I would tell them what to do with their 1m euro offer also.

K.
I would also like to see Perez start on the left wing. We are a much better attacking outfit with KJH and Perez in the team as was evidenced today.

There appears to be a lot of headlines in dutch about AZ interested in him and offering 9m euros.!!!
What is this all about? We paid this amount for him and he is still rated at double that. Why has the press suddenly come up with this!!! If KJH were to leave us this summer he certainly would not be looking at AZ .And they could not afford him.

Ajax visit AZ this weekend. Coincidence? I think not. There can't be too many reasons for discussing transfers three weeks after the close of the transfer window. Perhaps AZ is trying to play some games in the media with Ajax?SPL schreef:There appears to be a lot of headlines in dutch about AZ interested in him and offering 9m euros.!!!

In any event, right now we have people in charge that are much smarter than that.

Manchester United targets KJH, at an estimated price of 15M pounds:

My understanding of Dutch is not great (...) but it's seem more "funny" indeed : I think that VI states that Huntelaar is one of the player that would be interested in joining AZ... I'm really curious to understand all the details.
Ah, and I think Ajax will destroy NAC : each time there's a story to destabilize Ajax, we had a good result just after that ;)

Huntelaar betrokken bij aanrijding (read:Huntelaar involved in collision).

Seems our Klaasy has been involved in a car accident on the A2 on Friday afternoon. The crash involved two other cars and if I read my Dutch correctly, he got hit from behind and then hit the car infront.
Sounds like he might be OK from Sundays game though...
Any news from within Holland to add to this one?

Juventus have struck personal terms with Ajax strike-ace Huntelaar. tribalfooball.com - May 17, 2007
Tuttosport says Huntelaar would jump at the chance to join Juve this summer and would prefer Turin as his next destination over Barcelona and Manchester.
Johan Cruyff is urging Huntelaar to join Barca, while Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is also keen, however Juve powerbrokers Roberto Bettega and Alessio Secco have convinced the young forward that his best option is Italy.
Terms have been agreed for a contract worth £2.3 million-a-season and Juve are now planning to open talks with Ajax over a fee for Huntelaar, which will begin at £12 million.
