Young Ajax in the Jupiler League

We still cannot win a game. Jong played a friendly v Jong Utrecht of the reserve league and lost 2-0 .

Seems to be a growing, regular thing!! Even the Ladies team lost..no, sorry, were thrashed by Anderlecht last night!!
If it's a bug in the club, better get it fixed now....losses running through the network is not good!!

Jong Ajax beat Sparta 4-2 tonight and it was on Tv wiziwig had a very clear stream.Bakker scored early in the 1st half and then Acolatse on 57 mins after the ball had hit the bar and post before he buried it in the net. Sparta then got 2 in 2 mins with some sloppy defending but Hendriks on 83 and Becker 88 made the game safe. We had a very young team out tonight so it was good to see us win .

Just to update that Jong Ajax lost 1-0 to Roda on Saturday

Yesterday they had a friendly v Quick Boys in Katwijk and won 4-0 .Wont list the 17 players as it was just a warm up to give all the squad a game. El Hasnaoui,Owusu and Becker scored plus a 17 year old trialist from Montenegro called Nikola Vujnovic who is a forward.

Jong Ajax drew 2-2 at Emmen tonight ,not on Tv. Muric and Tete scored in the 1st half but Emmen scored their 2 in the 2nd half,the 2nd was a penalty about 10 mins from the end.

A very young team again ,nearly all teenagers, so a decent point.

With V d Hoorn Denswil and Duarte all playing they cannot appear v Zwolle. Kenny Tete is in the Zwolle squad.As Tete can play CD and RB I predict either Ligeon or even V d Hoorn will be on their way come January.19 year old Tete is probably ready for a regular spot on the first team bench.

Incidently Riedewald ,although a regular Jong player this season, has played in the 2 xU19 CL games so far thus he is probably being rested tonight.

A fine win 5-1 v Twente.Zivkovic and Acolatse 2 each and Menig 1 goal. Noodhoff for Bazoer and El Hasnaoui for Bakker ,2nd half subs.

Zivkovic evidently played well so hopefully 1 or 2 more Jong games like this one and he can come into the first team.

Finished 1-1,we gave away a late goal but evidently should have won the game.

V Bruggen for V d Hoorn the only sub used.

Zivkovic scoring goals reguarly now ,hope it wont be too long before he is the first team squad.

I would like to see this and also have the club move to a mobile 3 man attacking front with players interchanging. Frank appears not to favor Kishna these days and with Zivkovic, el Ghazi, and Fischer we would have three forwards who could play any of the front positions. Of course there would be no traditional hold up #9 in this approach but there wasn't in the Cruyff days either.

I wondered why Tete did not feature in yesterdays sqaud v Urk however Jong Ajax played a friendly last night at Tiel and won 6-1.It gave a few fringe players a run out . Muric scored 2 but Hendriks,the lad signed from de Graafschap, scored 4. Maybe he should get more time in the Jupiler league.

1-1 at Ht poor defending for their goal but a nice pass by Muric for Zivkovic to score. In the first team Ajax always insist on 2 right footed and 2 left footed defenders but tonight we have 4 right footed defenders and 3 of them are right backs ie V d Hoorn is the odd one out. Of these I think Owusu and Tete have a future with us ,cannot say the same about Ligeon or V d Hoorn.

Nice to see a Jong game, it seems like the last few haven't been on TV. I was wondering if we were the only ones who watched them and they'd decided it wasn't worth the broadcast!

Just in case the guys outside NL are wondering, I've had good luck with VPN + Fox Sports for the last 3 years. You need a pretty fast internet connection and a good VPN provider but these are nice things to have anyway. I prefer it to farting around on sopcast at the start of each match to end up with a jerky stream in Russian...

Ended up 2-1 defeat ,their 2nd came from our right side where Ligeon was too slow and V d Hoorn no where to be seen.Not many chances by us.Considering most of our squad are teenagers this level is good development for them .

Bakker and Hendriks were subs for anyone who did not watch. Bakker a midfielder did not look too bad to me .

Hi souras.Hendriks only played 10 mins and did little. Even Muric and Zivkovic did little, apart from the goal, to really impress.These 2 plus Menig and Bazoer are rated by management but are only teenagers so are still developing.

Only 2 who impresed me were Tete and Owusu.I will be surprised if they are not back up first teamers next season. Ligeon is not good enough and should be sold asap. V d Hoorn is good enough for Utrecht level ,where he came from.Cannot see him wanting to keep playing Jupiler league. Tete plays CD and looked as good and is still developing and should keep improving.Owusu is having to play LB although right footed and he certainly looked better than Ligeon.Owusu is only just 18 and was an A1 youth last season.Ligeon at 22 has not progressed having been stuck in the reserves for the last 3 or 4 years.

Ligeon has speed but that's about all. I put him in the same class as Lukoki, really fast but little technique to influence things. Owusu and Tete are both highly rated and it may be that van Rhijn gets sold at the end of this season to make way for them.

Its currently 4-1 to us and Zivkovic has scored 3 with Denswil the 4th. Still nealy 20 mins to go.

Hope after Christmas our 2 strikers will be Milik and Zivkovic with the slow Iceland cart horse hopefully sold.
