Edgar Manucharyan

Manucharyan would seem an odd choice to be scouted. One would think he needs to show he can stay healthy and then get a game before spurring interest . As for KJH, I think every side of any standing is looking at him. I bet they're thicker than flies on the carcass of Juve about now.

I haven't read any such thing here in Holland, but it definitely makes sense. Everybody at the club is totally convinced of Manu's talent and he's done really well in the first team a few times (especially Sparta away, last season), but he has a hard time keeping up, physically. The training intensity is a bit too high for him, which may well be an age thing. It also explains why he's been so injury-prone so far.Sevag schreef:Am I right in saying Edgar is suffering from exhaustion from training, he hasn't made it into the national team to face Belgium on Wednesday.
They're working on him (strength, stamina, increasing his muscle power) with a lot of patience. I've spoken to several people from the Ajax staff and they all totally seem to believe in his qualities.

Manu is one hell of an enigma for ajax and for all of us i guess, he's got the talent but just seems to be made off glass. I dont know how patient ajax is going to be with him...Sevag schreef:Any news on Edgar?
He seems to have left the planet![]()
He hasn't even made it on the subs bench for a long time, another injury?
Or do the coaching staff believe Jong Ajax is more realistic for him?
BRING IT ON !!!!...
From what I've read on other forums http://ajax.netwerk.to/forums/HTML/forum11/3295-38.php Edgar has mostly been playing in young Ajax because HTC thinks that others are better at his position. Last few games he's missed due to injury but the stories about his constant injuries are called 'somewhat exagerated'. One poster claims that Edgar will be playing for Armenia in their next two games.

MANUCHARYAN - NO FUTURE AT AJAX
Ajax striker Edgar Manucharyan has admitted he does not have a future at the club after becoming frustrated at his lack of first-team opportunities.
The 21-year-old has not played a single minute for the first team this campaign and does not want the same thing to happen next season.
"I have been fit for months but coach (Adrie) Koster still didn't give me a chance," said Manucharyan.
"Another season at Jong Ajax is not my cup of tea. If I can't play at a higher level I will not improve."
The Armenia international has not ruled out the possibility of a loan move.
"I hope things will change," he added. "Maybe Ajax can loan me out for six months."

For the record he only had 3 games for the reserves up to Xmas break and 2 of them were as sub, he then got injured again. He has only been fit since the Xmas break scoring 3 goals in 10 games. So yes he has been fit since mid Jan but given he had hardly played for the previous 12 months you would not expect to see him in the first team this season.
If he is fit at start of next season and we are not going to put him in the first team squad then he should go on loan. After all no team is going to buy a player like him who is never fit.

I have gone back pages to find this guy still has a thread.
He has said this week that he will leave. I have no idea why Ajax are wasting time and money on this guy. To think we gave him a contract extension last year and he has a contract to 2011. So far for the reserves he has made 5 starts and come on as sub 3 times with just 3 goals and one of those was in a cup game v Omniworld reserves!!!
This weekend we are down to the bare bones of forwards but he is nowhere near being picked for the 1st team.
Ajax should have the guts to pay this guy off today. We are never going to get any money for the guy and neither last summer nor this January has
anyone been interested in loaning him. Who would be stupid enough to actual pay to loan this guy when he is never fit.
I would not even pick him for any of our remaining reserve games as either Castillion or Zeegelaar should play.
This guy has got to go now.

Re: Edgar Manucharyan
Slightly srange interview with Manucharyan in Russia's CISoccer, in which he announces that he will leave Ajax. He says he talked to "the management" and that it's clear to him that there is "no future" for him at the ArenA. However, he also says that he did not talk to Martin Jol about this ("that would be pointless"). I find that a bit strange, to be honest.
He still has a contract 'til the summer of 2011 and Ajax do not wish to let him go on a free transfer. They want to loan him out, or sell him.

Re: Edgar Manucharyan
Manucharyan has been loaned out to FC Haarlem, in the Dutch First Division, for the time being...
That's rather sad, to be honest... He hopes to attract attention from other clubs this way. But Haarlem don't attract anyone's attention, really...
