Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
Time for Ajax to say no deal and we are looking elsewhere . Would have been a good signing but if he really is more concerned with selling shirts in Rotterdam than I do not think he is right for this club.
Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
I agree with you completely. This guy has made a laughing stock of himself.SPL schreef:Time for Ajax to say no deal and we are looking elsewhere . Would have been a good signing but if he really is more concerned with selling shirts in Rotterdam than I do not think he is right for this club.

Well good riddance then....we should already be looking for another striker after todays result, we are going to need all the fire power we can get in order to advance in the champs league.

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
The Moroccan has said "no", according to Jol, while Az trainer Verbeek says that El Hamdaoui is still open to Ajax and that the situation has still a month "(!) to develop in a way or another. so for now no el hamdaoui, no mido e no de ridder, my friends.
and maybe no CL. sick to death of this uncertainess at ajax.

El Hamdaoui signed Ajax
El Hamdaoui was seen in trainingsoutfit to join the 10:30 training today. Ajax and the az-striker talked whole night and spoke about last details. Today he will sign a 4 year contract.

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
Seems like it's a done deal now... De Telegraaf confirm it, and they really can't afford to be wrong again. I'm sure they're right.
Awaiting confirmation on Ajax.nl... Seeing is believing.
Apparently, El Hamdaoui is currently training with Ajax. He's wearing Ajax gear and all that. But Ajax just told RTV Noord-Holland that it's technically not a done deal just yet. Which is a bit odd, I'd say.

Nope, I think we failed to meet the deadline for the CL qualifiers... (that's one of the things you can criticize El Hamdaoui for, in fact).souras84 schreef:will he play against paok. we desperately need a striker in front

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
Check this picture.
Contract has not been signed or anything, but why would El Hamdaoui come to De Toekomst and put an Ajax training top on for talks...?
Seems like we've landed the guy. For real.
Edit: There we go. Official.

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
Okay, so, El Hamdaoui has been a bit of pain in the arse: he gave his word, then refused to sign, then told Martin Jol 'no', then came back for talks, then came up with some silly shit about his sports store in Rotterdam...
But, now all that is over, we can say that we did buy ourselves an exceptional striker and goalscorer. I, for one, am very pleased. El Hamdaoui can be a bit of a troublemaker, but I'm not afraid of troublemakers as long as there's a top drawer boss in the house - and we have a boss of that calibre, so I don't see a problem.
All's well that ends well, is what I say.
A couple of weeks ago it looked like Ajax refused to spend any money on new players, and because of that Martin Jol was about to walk out of the door. We could have had Danny Blind as head-coach and no new players, at this point. Instead, we still have Martin Jol as a boss and Mounir El Hamdaoui as a striker. Ajax did good business this summer, I have to say. Even if Suárez is sold I will still say that. This was adequate, smart management. Hands down.

Can't agree more

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
Woke up to this news. Wasn't expecting this transfer at all and I was about to start checking rumours about other players who we may be after.
I'll be extremely happy if we manage to keep El H and Suarez for at least this season.

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
I'm not counting on Suarez for (whole) this season yet... Hopefully we'll get into the groupstage CL. Than maybe Suarez will stay indeed.Amol schreef:Woke up to this news. Wasn't expecting this transfer at all and I was about to start checking rumours about other players who we may be after.

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
Bit of a strange week but glad he is here. Still not sure if anyone will come up with the money for Suarez next month . To have El H and Suarez would be a boost .

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
Eredivisie trivia: goal number 50,000 since the start of the Eredivisie back in 1956 was scored yesterday evening and the scorer was... Mounir El Hamdaoui! His second goal against Roda JC Kerkrade, in the 72nd minute, was the one. The very first Eredivisie goal was scored on 02 September 1956 by Tonny van der Linden for DOS (predecessor of FC Utrecht).

And just to mix things up, he even scored it with the inside of his right foot.

Nice one! And please keep up the stats/trivia Ko, Apart from the JC Schaal I've seen all the official games this season but this is just the sort of thing that's interesting to know but ESPN doesn't tell you.Kowalczyk schreef:Eredivisie trivia: goal number 50,000 since the start of the Eredivisie back in 1956 was scored yesterday evening and the scorer was... two words....... goal machine .... enough said..

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
Really enjoying Mounir El Hamdaoui to date. Looks a very lively CF . Not only is he scoring , he is putting himself in excellent positions to receive the ball . He also looks like he has some of Luis Suarez's work ethic. A heck of a lot more than just a target man .
