Daily Mail reports that Newcastle want Lukoki and will offer 4.3m euros ie £3.5m .Could just be a rumour but if it isn't I can see the player taking the Newcastle money.I am still not
convinced by this lad even though he has great speed he does not appear to have much else! A lot of money for a sub and with Boerrigter playing on the right hand side and Sana
a right sided winger will Lukoki get much more than just sub roles for us.

^English teams have so much money to spend but for the most part don't spend it in a very smart way. I agree with the assessment of Lukoki, he's the Usain Bolt of football - insane speed but still lacking in the quality skills that are needed to take him to the next level. The club is in a tough position of having to decide whether to give players long term contracts and then suffer if they don't make the grade. I keep hoping for some sanity to come to European football but I guess that's a wish that won't be fulfilled.

EDIT: Newcastle is just a crazy club. they gave their manager (who I don't really rate all that much) a long term contract and what happens if he doesn't lead the team to the promised land of CL football?

Roly Bonevacia is likely to leave for Roda,initially on loan until the end of the season when his contract expires and then he will sign on a 2 year contract.

Apart from Sulejmani I am not sure if many other players will leave permenantly this winter and most will be youngsters on loan.

Bonevacia has gone on loan to Roda until the end of the season then signing a 2 year contract so he is gone.( thus he is in the leaving posts and not loan post)

Ebecilio is having a medical and will sign a 3 year deal with Metallurg Donetsk.

Finally Jong Ajax forward Yener Arica is about to join Kayserispor in Turkey .

Good start to the New Year clearing out fringe players and a few more on loan to leave also. Ebecilio started well in 2010/11 but went backwards last season .As he has a contract to 2014 we will receive a few hundred thousand for him and I wish him luck in the Ukraine.


Just hope that Sulejmani and Enoh get sold this month .

Ebecilio was integral in our 31st, with that astonishing hat trick!! All in all, I believe he should go and reinvent himself. Who knows, he might become even better.

Selling Mickey would be a dream. If Enoh leaves, who will replace him?? Sporsklede or Boccara? I havent seen them playing in a while... And what is Klaassen doing?

Souras . Enoh has only sat on the bench with a few odd gams as a sub since returning from injury. Poulsen and Schone share the one midfield spot and unless Poulsen gets injured I do not see Enoh getting much playing time. He would be no loss to us and Boccara or Sporkslede should be on the bench instead.

Klaassen has a groin injury and not sure when he will return . I think its similar to the injury that kept V d Wiel out of action for over 3 months last season although Klaassen has been out since Sept .

While I agree that Enoh is probably surplus to the team, I cannot see any offers coming in for him. Sulejmani will have to be sold on the cheap if he is to leave.

Arica's transfer to Turkey is now official ,no idea how much we received as his contract runs to this June so just a small amount.

Ebecilio 's transfer is not yet official but we should get a few hundred thousand as we got 1m euros approx for Ozbiliz.

The english press are wonderful for making up rumours,but they do seem to keep saying that Toby is going to Spurs or Arsenal for 10m euros and Heitinga is returning to us for 3m.
I did read a month or 2 ago that his wife wants to return home to Holland so we wait to see.

Galatasary want Siem de Jong being the only other rumour this week.

Another Jong Ajax goes , Matt Rits the 19 year old Belgium midfielder is joing Mechelen on a contract to June 2015(was contracted to June 2013 witha year option with us) for a small fee.

He came from GBA in Belgium in the summer of 2011 with a big reputation having already played at Juplier league level aged 16.Had a few injuries and not really made it with us.

Local Newcastle paper still says they are interested in Lukoki and may bid this month so probably more than just paper rumours as its their local rag. The way they are heading they could go down though.

Rumour today that Everton may lose LB Leighton Baines and Blind has impressed Everton manager Moyes. Apart from Sulejmani I hope we do not sell any players this month .

This is obviosly why I'm not a successful Premier League manager. I've a lot of time for David Moyes (about as much as s possible for an ex Preston Knob-Ender ) but he can obviously see something I certainly can't.

^+1; I cannot for the life of me believe Blind can play left fullback in England. If he is too slow for the Dutch league thing about what will happen to him in England. Moyes has soured on Heitinga and Blind is not as good (though they do play different positions).

If we were to lose all of these players this summer we might have to do some shopping of our own, so I hope we do get plenty from Eriksen. There are some youngsters that can jump in, but are they ready to fill the boots of let's say Eriksen and Toby?

Veltman might be a replacement for Toby and I would like to see him take Tobys place in the center rather than Blind. Blind is better as a left back as he can push forward. I could also imagine Blind getting in trouble as a center back fighting inside the box with big and strong forwards. Isn't Blind also left footed so we would have two left footed center backs if Blind was to play with Moisander.

Could Andersen be the successor of Eriksen? Haven't seen him play much, but he seems promising. Although I understand he is more of a winger/striker than a playmaker.

Veltman is seen as Toby's replacement with Sporkslede and Bazoer possibly reseves for that position next season.Sporkslede plays both central defence and defensive midfielder. Bazoer evidently played well for the Jong Ajax v Eindhoven this week and although only 16 is seen as a real talent who is going to play sooner rather than later although next season may be too soon for him. Don't expect us to sign any defenders unless its an Ooijer type for the one season.

Fischer and Andersen are both talked of as maybe Eriksen ,de Jong replacements with Klaassen and Serero and even Schone still contesting . Not sure what the best positions are yet for the 2 Danish kids and Fischer seems more likely to be a forward. We may well buy another midfielder although I wont put money in us signing Maher ,for instance.
In defensive midfield Poulsen is still expected to stay next season with Enoh going and thus Boccara and Sporkslede coming through .

Up front only Babel is likely to leave and with Siggy and Hoesen as main strikers that leaves the wing positions with Fischer Boerrigter Lukoki and Sana contesting.

Looking ahead the players who leave over the next couple of years will be replaced mainly by youth with just the odd experienced signing

With Siggy perpetually out with injury and Boerrigter also very injury-prone.

You list them as if you are going to get 38 games guaranteed from them. They only played a couple the past years.

Sana is ultralight. Tested. Not good enough.

Zeux, don't disagree with you regards the forwards but my post was just concentrating on those main 3 who will leave and the youth we have to replace them. We probably need to start comments on new players thread.

We may indeed need to buy another winger and bring in another striker as there are no obvious youths ready at present.

From the Ukraine today reports that Ebecilio has now signed for Metallurg Donetsk fee about 500k euros. Ajax have not officially confirmed but assume they will do so tomorrow.
Thats 7 players now left this month .
