Good old Louis van Gaal, a little bit angry with Mr Howard Webb, the referee...

Oops. Arjen Robben scores the winner for Bayern. Van Gaal thinks: "Hmm, let's see if the grass is tasty today."

Tomislav Ivić, Croatian coach who coached Ajax between 76-78, died today after a long disease.
He was one of the greatest coaches from our region - R.I.P.

I first learned of the existence of Ajax in 1974. Tomislav Ivic was the coach extraordinaire during several of my formative supporting years. RIP to a great man; one whom I followed thru the monthly pre-computer era import football magazines as he led my budding first and now longest football club love. Just the name Tomislav Ivic brings back great memories .
Heartfelt condolences to Mr. Ivic's family and friends.

The more amusing thing is that Danny Blind will be his Assistant!
Does that mean Daley will be called up this year?

Didn't we have an "Ajax Formations and Tactics" thread somewhere? Couldn't find it. Anyway, this might be an old one, but I hadn't seen it before:
Cruijff explains the diamond formation with a chalkboard. In Dutch w/ English subtitles.

I hate it when they switch to the faces. Keep the drawboard in view, please!
Looks like Frank is using Blind the way Cruijff draws the left back.
