Young Ajax in the Jupiler League

Ligeon V d Hoorn Sana and Andersen should play plus Riedewald and Kishna. Vemeer Duarte and Denswil can also play as they did not play yesterday for the firsts even though they were subs.Once you have played 15 league and Dutch cup appearances you can no longer play for Jong Ajax(CL does not count). Hoesen who did not come on yesterday has now played more than 15 games so cannot play for Jong again this season.

As Oss are below us in the table I would hope for an easy win.

Like to think that lineup will win v Oss, who are 1 of only 2 teams below us at present.Newcomers to the league Achilles being the other.

Final score 2-1 .Denswil the 2nd after 55mins and Ajax were looking ok but Oss scored after 80 ,with Duarte slipping and letting the Oss guy clear on his own.Ajax struggled a bit to hold on but managed it.

Vermeij for de Bondt at Ht was the only real sub, Keskin came on for the last 3or 4mins ,his first playing time of the season.

Ajax with a lot of 1st team squad should have made this a lot easier win though.

Just to finish comments on last night. The back 4 all played ok given they are all 1st team reserves and Duarte was ok. Andersen played MF which is his position and I believe will make it. Lobotka impressed and should be signed as he is only on loan.

As for the front 4 well Meleg scored a good goal but played striker in the 1st half and right wing mainly in the 2nd.Still does not impress me in the games he has played and the jury is out.Sana was better on the right wing but in the 2nd half changed to the left and even the commentator mentioned he struggled on the left. He is not good enough for Ajax and should not be in the Jong team as he is stopping youngsters play(ok he is only 24 ). de Bondt was ok and Vermeij worked hard but these 2 do not look that special at this level and with contracts finishing in the summer will both leave.

In general there will be more competition for the forwards position for the rest of the season than any other. I mention the 4 last night but de Sa will still play alot,also Hendriks and the German Honer who is returning from a lengthy injury. Lazic a right winger is seeking to leave as he cannot get a game and last week was on trial at Rennes in France.

If a max of 8 seems plenty we must add the A1 youth team players who are being promoted.Kishna is now in the Jong squad,has an ankle injury at present, and wingers Acolatse and Becker will be added over the next few weeks( they have to make way for 16 year olds ,Walian already in the A1 team and wingers Dekker and Cerny wont be far behind). Menig and El Ghazi complete the 5 youth forwards who will be 19 this year and moving up.

Can't remember for sure but I think it was two years ago when the Ajax A1 played the Liverpool youth team in one of those youth leagues. Raheem Sterling was on the Liverpool team and Menig played for Ajax and looked every bit as good. Of course Sterling is now a starter for Liverpool and Menig still is moving up the Ajax chain. We'll see if he's good enough.

4 of the team were A1 youths in the first half of the season, Anderson Riedewald,V d Boomen and Kishna.

Alot of Jong squad missing , Bazoer long term injury, El Hasnaoui suspended, Tete and Lobotka probably minor injuries !!

A 3-1 defeat. V d Boomen scored early but Telstar ran away 3-1 winners.

Kishna played 67 mins ,de Bondt came on for him. Martina was subbed at 67 by Vissers , a 17 year old youth ! Meleg was replaced on 79 by Hendriks .

A poor result again .

No game until next Monday so last night they played a friendly v Topklasse team ADO '20 and lost 3-2 . Ligeon Andersen Sana and de Sa from the first team squad all played and Kishna had a run out. With V d Boomen Kuipers El Hasnaoui de Bondt
all starting it was a fairly strong team although de Bondt was left back ! Only a training game but you would expect us to beat a Topklasse team.

1-1 at Ht .They scored after 5mins ,our defence a bit flat footed also the goalie. 40 mins Andersen scored with real skill. Took the ball in the area turned lost his marker and struck a beauty. First real look at Kishna , playing as a striker but left footed and really a winger.Has skill and from what I have seen so far he has something about him.

Caught the 2nd half. Some very attractive attacking football. At least this version of Ajax presses forward. Final score 4=1 with de Sa scoring twice and Kishna once.

Yes a good 2nd half , Kishna on 52 was put through and a nice left footed shot into the goal. de Sa's first on 56 was a bit
like Zwolle's yesterday ,he ran through the middle and past the goalie. His 2nd and our 4th on 90 mins came from sub Becker who raced down the right wing and put a low cross straight to de Sa in the middle who buried it.

Both subs impressed me El Hasnaoui a left footed MF came on for Lobotka on 80 mins and looked good to me .Becker came on for Kishna for the last 5mins and actually looks like a winger.He is coming up for 19 and in the A1 youths but must get more time in the Jong.

Overall a good performance by Ajax but it was a stronger team as so many 1st teamers were involved. But A1 youths Kishna and Becker really excited me though.

Away to Dordrecht tonight but its not on Tv so no streams. There will be no Denswil and the only first team squad will be de Sa ,Andersen,Sana and either Ligeon or V dHoorn. With Europa Cup games coming up the Jong will have less first team squad to pick from in the next few weeks. In addition there are no Mondays night games for a while so they will have to rely on Jong Squad players and players from the youth.

Tonights game is not on Tv so no streams. A strongish team though with Andersen, Ligeon Sana and surprisingly Denswil from the 1st team squad, Riedewald and V d Hart are also back in the Jong.

NB Denswil has played 14 league and Dutch cup matches so by my theory only needs to play one more time for the first and he wont be eligible for any more Jong games. Clearly FDB wants him to play 90 mins against a strong Dordrecht, who top the league ,rather than be an unused sub on Sunday. Think he could play v Salzburg.

About an hour gone and it 1-1 .Just after Ht Denswil scored an own goal but afew minutes later Kishna equalised.

Final score 1-1 which is a good result away to the leaders. Lobotka came on for El Hasnaoui on 76 ,appears to be the only sub used.

Agree it looked a good goal. FBD is not rushing Kishna which is no bad thing considering his injuries which kept him out for 2 years.

Nb. I see todays stupid rumour from England is Liverpool are going to buy him in the summer.Utter rubbish story of course like all these stupid rumours invented by the press about our players.

With no league until this Sunday Jong Ajax played a friendly tonight v De Zouaven , an amateur side and won 5-0.de Sa Andersen, Meleg, Hendriks and Honer scored a goal each.

Apart from the German striker Honer ,who has been out injured since late August ,Bazoer was back having been injued in Turkey at the winter camp. A good run out for some of the fringe 1st teamers and fringe Jong

I read some comments and Sana barely touched the ball in 70 mins but Honer scored with his first touch. A pity we did not unload Sana last month.

The only 2 long term injured are now Sporkslede and Bitter a striker who has been very injury prone.

I am not sure what has happened to the Chinese guy Wang,made a couple of sub appearances back in Nov and has never been heard of since!

Away to Sparta Rotterdam today 16.30 CET and its on Tv so there will be streams. As this follows the big game today I might just watch the 2nd half. The wife says I cannot watch 4 hours of Ajax in one go!
