Re: Ajax Coaches
^It's never been clear to me what Bergkamp is doing for the club. Everytime you see him on the bench during matches he is stonefaced and never reacts to anything. Other than maybe some one on one coaching, is he bringing anything to the staff?

Re: Ajax Coaches
So I see that Sir Alex Ferguson has announced his retirement yesterday. I truly hope (and don't think it will happen anyway) that FdB does not leave us high and dry for ManU.

Re: Ajax Coaches
Sounds like it's going to be Moyes to replace Fergie. Good luck - it's never easy replacing a legend.

it is indeed Moyes, aveslacker schreef:Sounds like it's going to be Moyes to replace Fergie. Good luck - it's never easy replacing a legend.
thing is though, fergie is still there as his "mentor" for a year or two before the team is 100% Moyes's

Frank de Boer just twittered that he has agreed a contract renewal for four season, 'til mid-2017!
That's excellent news. One chat with Overmars and it was sealed. Handshake, simple as that.

Re: Ajax Coaches
Now that Vilanova has stepped down at Barca, what are the chances that they will come around looking to take Frank away from us.
Re: Ajax Coaches
Not such a big chance I think. This step is a little too early for Frank.
And if Johan behaves like a real Ajacied he will just advise Barca to take another trainer. Rijkaard for the second time perhaps.

Re: Ajax Coaches
It seems Tottenham are keen to snatch FdB to the premier league. Extremely happy to read that apparently Frank said no thanks straight away. He seems to be happy at Ajax and sees Ajax as a big project for years to come. Nice to see this kind of loyalty. He could get a lot more money somewhere else, but it's about Ajax for him. True ajacied!
Great coach for us. He knows the system, knows our strengths and limitations and has a good eye for young talent.

Re: Ajax Coaches
Skysports still makes Frank favourite but his agent has said he understands Spurs are interested but not approached Ajax yet so nothing to say .
I think Spurs have spoken off the record to Frank who said no but as they have not gone through Ajax it could be seen as tapping up. Levy controls everything at Spurs and makes all decisions cannot see Frank ever wanting to work under those conditions.
At present all policies are set by Cruyff along with Frank and the TH .Frank does not get told what to do by some suite with a big ego who knows nothing about Football. Being suggested to do something by Cruyff is a bit different.
Frank has said he will stay and his wife has a shop and wants to stay in Holland and I understand he wont leave until all his 3 girls have finished high school and the youngest is 13.
Even if Barca came in for him now I really do not see him leaving before 2017.

Re: Ajax Coaches
I was hoping he would be smart enough to say no. He would have to be crazy to go to Spurs to begin with -- and especially in mid season with a team not of his choosing.
Re: Ajax Coaches
Frank has more sense than to join a club like Spurs, if he continues doing the great job with us offers will come in from much bigger and better clubs. If he does go he will be sacked within 12 months anyway as this is how Levy operates and they are in a complete mess because of this. Why don't we send them Ronald instead, Levy is to stupid to spot the difference anyway.
