Playing Dordrecht today 16-30 CET.They are bottom so we should be able to win .

Just to say Jong lost 3-1 to Dordrecht an utter disgrace as they were bottom on 5 points with 1 win before today.

We were 2-0 down but Brobbey made it 2-1 at Ht . They then killed the game with a 3rd on 77.

Finished 1-1,Rensch scored on 34 but they got a penalty in 90th min(ie 4 mins from time).

subs de Waal for Hansen on 46 mins ,Bande a rare appearance, 78mins for Martha and Hlynsson ,a young Icelandic youth making his debut for Unuvar on 87mins.

Shame they did not hold on but Eindhoven are above us.Jong Ajax mid table but ahead of the other 3 Jong sides.

Taylor,Rensch and Brobbey will be with 1st. V Gelderen has returned after a long injury,which is good news.Hansen only sub with Martha starting is strange .

Expect a heavy defeat against a good team.

I caught the first half of the Jong Ajax match and it's not clear that there are any real talents on the pitch. De Graafschap went down to 10 men on a nasty studs up challenge on Reeger. Douglas had an own goal and a cheap give away led to the second by de Graafschaap. Martha had a nice goal for Ajax but then missed a chip when a great goal kick from Scherpen sent him in on the keeper. Unavar is wasted as a winger but I don't know if he is just an example of someone who was so much better than other youth players and never advances much after making it out of the U-16s. Unimpressed with de Waal who appears to be just a lumbering striker.

HT and we are only 2-1 down.Martha scored our goal and they had a man sent off after 31mins.

Unuvar,Reeger,Martha all 17 and Hlynsson is 16! Reading fans comments on Showtime they are being very harsh,this team is a bunch of young kids against experienced pros all fully grown men.

My post crossed with Orange.Unuvar and also Hansen have struggled this season.Only player from today's team that I see making it is Reeger.Not seen anything of Hlynsson as there is no youth football since September.

We must remember Brobbey Taylor and Rensch ,all regulars in Jong this season, are with the 1st team this weekend.

I may have been harsh in my earlier comment. SPL is correct about this being a very young team and when you looked at de Graafschaap they all looked 5-8 years older and much stronger.

Martha,Hlynsson and Baas have barely played for our U 18 ie previously U19 so you cannot expect them to perform like seasoned pros at this level.Douglas and Musampa both now 19 would probably look better in a senior side.Both are not going to make it but they have younger even more inexperienced kids as team mates and thus struggle.

Biggest problem looking at last night is Bande is not up to this level and with a contract to 2023 what do they do with him.

Baas and Warmerdam both have no contracts also Yah. Baas, Reeger Martha are all only 17.

We have to fill our subs bench with U18 players but a major problem is that there has been no youth football since mid September so these kids have had no competitive games since then.

Many players missing with 3 x 17 year olds starting ie Reeger,Martha,F-Jim

Jong lost 1-0 to Top Oss, which given only Kotarski is not a teenager is not bad. Subs used Tasci plus 2 more 17 year olds Baas and Yah neither contracted.

We are 12th but will struggle when we have to put out such young and inexperienced sides .

Reading comments by Dutch fans on Showtime and this site some of them do seem to overlook the age of the squad ie .all bar the goalie are teenagers.

The only real talent on show was Reeger. Rensch,V Gelderen,Salah-Eddine,QTImber,Taylor,Giovanni,Mendez,Unuvar,Jensen,
Hansen and Brobbey were unavailable plus Scherpen is vastly better than Kotarski.

Martha,Fitz-Jim plus Yah and Baas are 17 and have barely played U19 football,all were U17's last season.Pinas Tasci were just u19 squad fillers last season and Warmerdam is not considered good enough for a contract.

2nd year squad players Musampa and Douglas are not good enough and are just squad fillers .

With 12 not available we are seeing a glorified youth team so no point in rubbishing them when they struggle against experienced adult footballers.

A much stronger line up than Tuesday v Oss. Good to see Timber back and Taylor and Jensen improve MF .Scherpen a vastly better goalie than Kotarski.

Brobbey I think had 30 mins max in this game as he will be in the AZ cup squad.

Finished with a 2-1 to Jong Ajax ,their goal came in injury time but we held on .That was about 8 games without a win.
