Re: Former Ajax Players
I'd love VdVaart to come back to Ajax, people may say we don't need him, but i say we do really.. he's someone who loves the team, will fight for the team, and is generally loved by all, and im sure he could bag a whole load of goals here, but i think both him and Sneijder should shoot off to Italy, although i wouldn't mind seing Wes go to Aston Villa (as rumoured in the english media).
As for the Huntelaar deal, we get the full 7million euros as all of the clauses have to be paid out on, which is nice.
Just remains to be seen whether we buy someone or not.

Re: Former Ajax Players
Rather than rot in the reserves, Robben, Sneijder & VdVaart should all have their agent make preliminary deals with Ajax.
Say on deadline day, no one else comes in for them, they should all just sign on the line and take the move to Ajax. Playing for Ajax in the Eridevisie is surely better than rotting in Madrid's reserves in a World Cup year.
If it was any other year, I'd say take the money and rot there ala Winston Bogarde but not this year.

Sneijder recently said he wants to fight for a spot, and wouldn't join Aston Villa, Inter Milan, or Ajax for that matter.

Re: Former Ajax Players
Our former captain, Tommy Vermaelen is starting in Arsenal's central defense. He just scored a nice free header off a Van Persie cross. Looks like this was a smart deal for Arsenal.

Re: Former Ajax Players
So Sneijder is being difficult with his proposed move to Inter.
Good reasons to join:
-1st team football ahead of world cup
-Mourinho's "special" guidance
-Good pay
-Milan is a nice city
Bad reasons:
-Spanish girls are hotter (IMO)
-Ya that's about it haha
I really hope he gets out of Madrid for his career sake. I think the difficulty is coming from his new girlfriend. Either way, ex Ajacieden rafa and Wes are not enduring good times...

Re: Former Ajax Players
And just when it seemed that sneider was going to Milano, he turned the plane around and headed back to Madrid.
Either he believes he will someday be part of Real and stop warming the bench or he commited a bif football suicide in a year that leads to a world cup.... Damn Ajax youngsters and damn Ajax board....

Re: Former Ajax Players
Don't know what the truth is these days but De Telegraaf reports now that ManU and Bayern have expressed interest in Wesley. Can understand ManU as Giggs and Scholes are both way on the other side of 30. Maybe Bayern because of Van Gaal.souras84 schreef:And just when it seemed that sneider was going to Milano, he turned the plane around and headed back to Madrid.

Re: Former Ajax Players
If this is the correct sum, Madrid are losing more money (I think they sold KJH for 10€ million less than they paid for him). I figured that clubs would low ball Madrid realizing they were in a forced sales mode (something probably affecting Ajax but on a much smaller scale). Will they get anything at all for Van Der Vaart??souras84 schreef:Sneider to Inter for 15 million.

Re: Former Ajax Players
Everton have agreed a fee with Atletico for our mate Johnny Heitinga...as i type this i remember i cant recall the actual fee agreed
but its been agreed nonetheless. So I'm guessing that will go through.
In other news, with Luka Modric (aka Tottenham Hotspur's best attacking midfielder) out for 6 weeks the rumour mill states Spurs are gonna try and lure the squad numberless Rafael Van Der Vaart from Madrid. Two things to say about this. 1. It will never happen and 2. As I couldve cried when Modric got injured if Spurs managed to replace him with one of my all time faves I will literally dance with joy.
But as if he's going to go to Spurs...surely he doesnt want first team football that much... but he would join that select few players that have played for both my clubs and join the company of the great "Edgar Davids" and the not so great "Mido"
