Hi Orange ,just looking something up and Nordin Musampa is indeed a cousin of Kiki Musampa.

Someone ,who is on showtime and follows our youth has heard a rumour that one of our 16 year olds is off to England .

Brobbey and Gravenberch are the obvious names as both are in the Dutch u17 squad and our U19 at present but hope its just a rumour. Gravenberch is with Raiola and has said he wants to stay but Redan said he was staying last year !!

Dutch U-17 are perfect in pool play defeating Serbia on a brace from Brobbey (Redan was suspended for this match).

Good result for the U17 v Serbia and Brobbey getting 2. Next up is Ireland on Monday in the quarters.

Today our U19 drew 2-2 at Feyenoord having been 2-0 up . Their equaliser in Injury time. PSV now champs but even if we had won it was not going to stop PSV as they had a game in hand.

Highlights today debut for 15 year old Kenneth Taylor,midfielder, and Sontje Hansen also 15 ,came on ,plays on the wing but also striker.These 2 along with Gravenberch and Brobbey are hopefully going to get contracts shortly. Nothing heard yet but hopefully all 4 will sign.

1-1 at full time and straight to penalties. Dutch keeper saved the first one and Redan only had to slot home the fifth to win it. His shot was saved but the keeper was called for jumping off the line and was ejected as it was his 2nd Yellow. Redan retook the penalty and scored so the Dutch go on. van Gelderen got the goal at the 60th minute with a header off a corner. I was totally unimpressed with the Dutch play, it was the worst of the de Boer years with just lots of long balls that went no where.

Just watched the whole game and Holland U17 won dramatically on penalties after a 1-1 draw. Ajax V Gelderen with a header from a corner broke the deadlock on 60 mins and Ireland ,who had played very deep defensive , got a goal back within 2 mins.

Very boring Ireland defending on mass and Holland not looking like breaking them down. No creativity in midfield and Redan had no chances.Brobbey came on and put himself about but after 80 boring mins we went to penalties .

Ireland missed the first and then everyone scored to make it 4-4(Brobbey Jurrien Timber scored)
Redan to score and win the game and the goalie saved it but in doing so had come well off his line. A 2nd yellow and he was sent off and the pen retaken with their Cd in goal .Redan didn't miss a 2nd time so Holland through 5-4 on pens and meet England on Thursday.

Semis of u17 Euros Dutch v England HT and its 0-0 .I have been out all day watching cricket so have only watched the last 10mins and England seem to have created the most chances.

Timber's ,V Gelderen and Brobbey all playing and I may be English but I am cheering on Holland . With Redan thats 5 from our academy ,no way can I cheer on anyone other than Holland . I am adopted Dutch for football purposes and I wont apologise for it!

Holland through 6-5 on pens after a 0-0 draw.So the only certainty in football ,whatever the age group, England dont win penalty shootouts.

I didn't see that much of the game but the commentators were impressed by Gravenberch ,who came on in the 2nd half. He was 16 yesterday so really hope he signs for us soon.

Italy in the final so thats Holland trying to break down a 10 man defence of hackers. Italians idea of football is rather different to my idea.

Season not yet over .U19 finished today with a 2-1 defeat at Utrecht but 3 players Plomper Margaret and Kaars ,all released , played .

U17 beat PSV in the cup semi 2-0 Brobbey a goal and Gravenberch also played .Final game next week v NEC in the final then our season is finished.

Internal youth transfers within Holland end in mid June and we have released 16 from u15 through to U19 and have signed some young lads but I read today Salah Eddine a highly talented LB from AZ is joining, born 2002. He has been mentioned with EPL clubs so if we sign him and keep Gravenberch and Brobbey this will be a good summer.

Since 2014 when Fosu-Menash left we have lost our top 16 year old every summer so fingers crossed our kids will stay.

We are losing 2-0 at HT. 2nd was a howler,Musampa I think was going to pass back to the goalie but passed it to a NEC player who fired it into the net.

We lost 4-0 a very poor performance ,all 4 goals down to poor defending. The first 2 were defensive errors the 3rd came when the winger lost the ball , their player crossed to an unmarked player ,(camera didn't show the goal clearly)
and the 4th from a corner, again unmarked.

Just saw the highlights -- we really did look awful -- not only the defending, as you pointed out, but judging from the highlights, we had pretty much nothing in the way of dangerous scoring opportunities, either.

I don't know if it affected their play but five of the Ajax starters were on the Oranje U17 NT that just won the Euros. Maybe they were just a bit tired from that busy schedule and didn't see this as a major match. It's a possibility.

5 indeed played in Euros and it was a long and very tiring tournament after a long season.The wide players were poor and Brobbey got little service.Gravenberch looked nothing special.It was a very poor game by Ajax ,maybe one game too many.

Youth talent of the year is Ryan Gravenberch. It is now called the Abdelhak Nouri trophy .Appie's Dad and brother both attended the presentation.

Of course there was only one Ajax player who could make this presentation, Donny v d Beek.

Thought we would not lose any of our kids to EPL this summer but evidently U17 RB Ki-Jana Hoever is talking to the top EPL clubs but wants as much money as Redan got from Chelsea.

He was 16 back in Feb and I did read he had been offered a contract.I did wonder what happened to his contract but his name is never mentioned as a big talent . Dont think we will miss him. Right backs are 2 a penny in the youth. Bakboord is 19 ,Dest 18, Jurrien Timber 17.Kasanwirjo 16 can play RB.

PS. Fosu-Mensah a defender and released by us is not shown as having a new club yet so could go to England as he has a 2nd brother over there.(Ajaxshowtime list all our leaving youths and their new clubs)

Liam van Gelderen was named to the all tournament team at the recent u17 Euros. the central defender is under contract at Ajax!!! Amazing that really good defenders are coming out of Holland these days.

Hoever the U17 RB aged 16 is off to Liverpool taking their money never to be heard of again.

BBC 's football gossip shows Hoever to Liverpool amongst all the big rumours. If this kid played in any other club academy apart from Ajax this story would never have featured.

Not only the youth academy. The management of a player like Feillani also used Ajax rumours to get this guy better in the market and at the end Manchester United to renew his contract.

At a point the Bookmakers did not accept bets on Ajax anymore as Feillani's next club while it was not questioned at all if he could come or not. Meanwhile Ajax is still getting Tadic out of the Premier League and perhaps also Daley Blind.

One of our u19's winger Horvath a Hungarian is having a trial at PSV. He joined us in 2016 on a 3 year deal but has been injured for 2 years.Lots of 16 and 17 year old Dutch lads in our u19 this season so looks like this lad should try elsewhere.

Last season we had about 9 x overseas kids in our u19 now we have 9 overseas in Jong squad.

Apart from Horvath we have just 3 other non Dutch the U19 but all have been injured long term. Left back Farcas ,a Romanian ,has missed 2 years and Polish goalie Gorski missed last season.Dont see these 2 being first choices in the U19.Finally Schon a Hungarian plays midfield and on the wing missed over a year but played a bit after the winter break and could see some action.
