Re: Former Ajax Players
Ryan's goal was good.
Re: Former Ajax Players
Van der Vaart rules out returning to Ajax http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story ... rs&cc=5901 However, most interesting is BMJ's quote at the bottom noting that with Raffie we would have the best midfield in the Eredivisie. Too bad it won't happen as this is probably the creative spark that we need.
Appie Nouri will forever be remembered for his grace and humanity on and off the pitch!

Re: Former Ajax Players
Did anyone see KJH's 2nd goal this weekend for Milan. Pure Klaas.
Brought a tear to my eye. I wish he was still playing for us.

Re: Former Ajax Players
You can laugh about it but who knows. The rumor is on various sites. It could help them a great deal towards a possible championship.

Dani was a riddle wrapped inside an enigma. Wish he could've realized his amazing potential at Ajax . He was refreshingly candid . Great to see he looks and sounds healthy and well .

Man, that video makes me so nostalgic. And it also makes me realize how much I miss our old abn-amro shirt :(

Ran into Ronald de Boer at the shopping mall today and chatted with him for a few minutes. He seems a really nice guy.

Re: Former Ajax Players
Wow that's great-where was that? Best I can do is 'meeting' Peter Beardley (then at Newcastle) in Croydon once on his way to play at Wimbledon but he was walking at about 50mph down the road leaving a trail of double-takes behind him. This could be a new theme anyway-anyone else?aveslacker schreef:Ran into Ronald de Boer at the shopping mall today and chatted with him for a few minutes. He seems a really nice guy.

At the half hour mark Rafael Van der Vaart is having a huge game for Madrid. Two goals and looking for more.

Re: Former Ajax Players
Yeah, nice to see Rafie in action. I thought this will be a dead season for him, but he's doing very good lately. Funny, but his turnaround point in this season was game against Alcorcon, which Real lost 0-4

Re: Former Ajax Players
Hehe, Jari speaks English with a Finnish/Dutch accent. Never noticed that Dutchness of his English before.

He spends his winters here in Qatar. He's been here at least some of the time ever since he played for one of the clubs here.SE6Ajacied schreef:Wow that's great-where was that? Best wishes to Edwin who's wife sadly suffered a brain haemorrhage just before Christmas. Very sad at only 36 years old.

Re: Former Ajax Players
Our former leader Christian Chivu is in Hospital in Verona after an awful clash of heads.
Hope he gets well soon... ."The player has suffered a head injury in the right parietal lobe area," explained Turazzi. "The operation was necessary due to the presence of a haematoma, which was drained. The cerebral wall appeared to be unaffected and the neurocranium was reconstructed with the bone of the patient. Everything took place regularly and we are quite confident that the patient can recover without any problems, though it is too soon to say when the patient can leave hospital."
