I know its kind of crazy and all, but how about if we tried to land a player like Nedved in a Laudrup like move??? Gee I don't know but I kind of had a dream about this.

I dont think thats a factor....Arsenal and Bayern are after him and they are willing to pay in the 15-20 million range.

I for one think he is still to young for a huge club...Ajax would be a better team for him.

I know it seems hard but hey it can happen.

Medunjanin could be a good option but maybe AZ will not be to keen on losing him to a direct rival. Bu with Arsenal after Modric, I think we have a better chance of landing Medunjanin. I like him, we should really go after him.

I wouldn't mind Haris Medunjanian , Thiago Motta , and one other player , but I think Motta and Medunjanian is Ajax cheaping out. Oh , and I read where PSV also aren't keen on letting Affelay or Aisatti go to a rival ; unlike Ajax who seemed only too happy to sell Perez.

I said above I wouldn't mind the M&M boys , but I'd rather us go for Motta , he and Gabri have already played together , and Engelaar.

If we have to get someone from AZ , let it be Dembele next year.

I like Medjunian's age , 22 , but I hope we can do better than 7 goals in 32 matches ( his production last year ) or 10 goals in 45 ( his career numbers) . Numbers courtesy of VI .

You must keep in mind that Medunjanin is after all, a midfielder not striker. Sure we're used to a freak of nature like Wesley who scored goals like crazy but its impossible to replace him in that sense.

Kowalczyk schreef:Martin van Geel did a TV interview the other night (Studio Voetbal it was) and he said that Ajax are eyeing two players. And they want to buy both of them. It will be too late for the first Slavia Prague game, but Ajax want to finalize the deals before Tuesday evening, which is the deadline for the return leg against Slavia.

We can expect some more transfer action today or tomorrow.

Ajax Eye Morocco’s Boussoufa

Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam have been reportedly interested in signing Morocco international Mbark Boussoufa.

The Anderlecht midfielder is however unlikely to make a move as he is said to have showed interest in staying with Anderlecht at least until the winter break.

Ajax are trailing the 22-year-old after they failed in a bid to sign other Moroccans Ibrahim Afellay and Ismail Aissati as replacement for Wesley Sneijder.

remember the last UEFA Cup final between Sevilla and Espanyol? Well Riera scored the 1-1. He spend some time playing in France before I think. He can play as a left winger, pretty good techinque and good passing. But it seems we are not getting him...

Boussoufa has to stay as far away from the Arena as possible.

What do you mean? Martin van Geel has said clearly that he didn't expect any transfers to be made before the game against Slavia. "We have until the 31st and aren't rushing anything".

Players signed before midnight this evening, will be eligible for the second leg of the third preliminary round against Slavia. Van Geel has said, in Studio Voetbal to be precise, that Ajax, for that reason, will try to do business before Wednesday.

Players signed after midnight this evening, will be eligible for the games in the group stage, but not for the return leg against Slavia.

That's the point right here. But I don't expect action anymore, to be honest. There's no rumours that give me the feeling that something's happening. So I guess, for the qualifiers, this is it.

That was the original press release yeah, but later Martin stated something completely different. Quoted a few times in the Dutch Zones I think.
