A little misunderstanding here, I thought you were the one that had talked about the game on arsenal.com (probably broadcasted live on the Internet), So what I basically said was "Who cares if the game is on arsenal.com if the problem is that gforce is not @ home on game time". But torrent is an excellent solution.jakobg schreef:He who? He as in he who's recording the games? It's not he, it's they and they are capping the game and it will be online. Or he as in he who's gonna downloand the game? He can leave his computer online and go to whatever kids' soccer training he wants to. ;)Carcajou schreef: Yes but what if he's doing something else at the same time ? Say mow the lawn or coaching his kids' soccer team ?
But if you're on a 56k connection it's ofcourse not the best solution.

Channel 5 is on cable or do I need a Freeview box for that? And do you know the time and day yet?SPL schreef:Good news for all in the UK . Channel 5 are showing Dutch footie again so we should get to see about 16/17 league games this season. Not live but even so it will be good to see so many games.

No Channel 5 is just normal domestic TV. They normally show one whole game a week, in the middle of the night on Thursday/Friday which is then repeated as highlights on the following Wednesday, again in the middle of the night. From checking next weeks TV listings, the game is actually a bit earlier than usual, at 12.50hrs so I might actually be able to watch it "live". Eurosport normally show the goals at about 5.00pm on Monday nights too during "Eurogoals" but that's a cable/satelite channel.Raymon schreef:Channel 5 is on cable or do I need a Freeview box for that? Highlights on Talpa!
Excellent new, guys!
Tonight was the first football highlights show on new TV station Talpa. The play-by-play commentary was a bit hysterical sometimes, but otherwise the show was alright. And the good news is: all Talpa programs can be followed real-time on their website, http://www.talpa.tv/ Which means that you can all watch the Dutch Eredivisie highlights -- including Ajax (except that we don't play this weekend... as you know).
Is that cool or what?
There are show every Saturday at 23:00 CET and every Sunday at 19:00 CET.

To be honest with you I just posted the link without taking a look myself... All I can find is an article that says all of their shows are also available thru the internet. Dan, can you tell Thomas where you found the player?
Yesterday was Talpa's first day 'on air', so maybe there were still some issues. But it sounds pretty good. You can watch everything live and they will also buil an on-demand archive of programs (including all the football shows).

after some digging around i found the link:
http://www.talpa.tv/web/show/id=52430
basically from the main home page, you need to click 'login' at the top right and it brings you to the above page.
From this page there is another link called talpa 'live' stream (middle right). click this and it opens up another window with media player.
I haven't been able to get the player to work yet, with or without logon.
Teething problems perhaps?
