No-one. AFC Ajax is a club, with a Board Of Members and a chairman. No owner.

It's interesting stuff - and I am actually planning to write an article about it, for publication as a From the Desk Of... installment on Ajax USA, just to show how the club is structured.

well, part of the Ajax shares are on the market, part are owned by the "club" or "association"; so the question is who owns the club, or if you like who are the "members" of the club; it can not be no one for sure ...

Well, a club is not owned by anyone. The members elect a Board Of Members and a chairman - and they take the decisions by vote.

A club is more like a country, actually: there is no 'owner' as such, but a government and a president or prime minister, elected by the inhabitants. In the same way a club has a board and a chairman, elected by the members.

As for the members: you can't just subscribe to Ajax and become a member. Membership of Ajax is highly exclusive and you have to be invited by the existing membership to become a member (there is criticism of that principle; many people feel that the 'real supporters' don't have enough influence - and that the membership is too much of an 'old boys' network').
