The Future Cup is going on this weekend in Amsterdam. Highlights of matches are on the Ajax YouTube channel. Ajax beat both Pachuca and Borussia Monchengladbach to open up their group. The competition is for U-17 players and there are some nice players for Ajax. Ebite looks interesting as a striker. Kayden Wolff has very good speed on the LW and got a hat trick last week. Jan Fabierski had a wonderful free kick from distance that found the back of the net. Tommy Setford, brother of Charlie, is the keeper. Ajax plays Juventus in the final group match tomorrow morning.

Been out all day and just caught the details. We have some decent talents in our U17 where as I dont think there are many talents in our current u18. As Orange says Wolff got a hattrick for the U18 last week ,his first start at that level. 2 talents missing due to injury are MF Verkuijl and forward Don-Angelo Konadu.

I was all set to watch the final of the Future Cup but I think Ajax Showtime posted the wrong time for the final game as it was already over. The Danish team thoroughly outclassed the Ajax U-17 winning 3-0. Ajax missed a good opportunity in the opening minutes of play but that was it.

Weekend football started with me watching AjaxU18 easily beat Feyenoord U 18 3-1 in Rotterdam . Their youtube channel showed the game. They were poor and only chance the soft penalty they got. We were better and had one or two more chances so it could have been more than 3.

There are 16 x U 18's without contracts and they should soon say who is going .A lot of moderate players in the squad. Agougil at LCD looks a decent player and Alders and Muzambo in MF .Kalokah has some speed on the wing .

Next up live footy down the road as Worthing are 7th and in the play offs spot in the National League South ,This is level 6 in the league structure .

I watched our u18 beat AZ 3-0 yesterday on Ajaxyoutube.Ajax can still win the spring league and thus playoff with winter league champs for the title and Champions League U19 next season .AZ are of course this seasons Champion League U19 winners having beaten Real Madrid and Barca but they looked very ordinary yesterday.

Ajax are playing for the title and had many over age players ie Banel and Brandes both Jong Ajax squad. Winger Kolokah and MF Idumbo Muzambo, the Belgium lad look good enough.15 year old LB Jetten had to drop out before the start which was a shame, he looked good v Feyenoord U18 last week.

Ajax U-18 lose on penalties to PSV. They deserved to lose as they were undisciplined and PSV had more chances in normal time. I've not seen as many mis-kicks in a long time and Ajax after getting the first goal near the end of the game, just lost focus and let PSV tie it off a corner kick that was not cleared.

I watched but when it got to penalties I did not watch as I knew Ajax would lose. A poor game and agree after our goal we did not concentrate and PSV scored. We did not deserve to win and I do wonder if any of these players will make it although I think Skye Vink has potential. We played 4 Young Ajax squad in Jermoumi,Milovanovic,Brandes and Banel but still could not win.

I notice it was not just our U18 who lost the title play off as U16 did so last week and yesterday our U15 went from 3-1 up to 4-3 defeat by Feyenoord .

I guess it is just an all around bad year at all levels of Ajax. I too wonder if any of the U-18 players will make it.

Cheered up by watching our U18 beat Feyenoord U18 3-0 and it was very easy , near the end we missed 3 sitters so 6-0 would have been a fair result.

Some talent in this group and at least in Janse at LCD and 16 year old Jetten at LB Jong Ajax will have proper left footed defenders in those positions next season. U18 have some long term injured back in Verkuijl and Appiah in MF and Vink up front and this can only improve results.

U17 beat PSV 4-3 and some talent there so I am confident of the future.

I should not have mentioned todays U18 game as we lost 3-1 to AZ.They scored their goals in the first 30mins so I only just looked at odd minutes in the 2nd half.O'Niel pulled a goal back but a comfortable win for AZ who are top

5-1 defeat a very poor Ajax. O'Neil,Konadu and Faberski all started on the bench but are our better players. Gorter is not a no 10 and Alders not a LB.These 2 plus Henry and Speksnijder are the overage players but dont look good enough.

Final point apart from Jetten ,who was missing on Dutch U17 duty we dont have any LB.s In the 1st Sosa is poor ,Martha a winger.Jong Ajax have none.U18 Jetten is good. U17 LB is Oldenstam,a converted winger who can play on the right . de Gama who came on today is a winger and has played some games at LB for U17 this season. He does not look like a defender

An easy 3-0 win for U18's v Feyenoord yesterday. Watched the 1st half but they had tech problems so could not show the 2nd half. In defence Janse impresses and so does Jetten ,who could end up in MF.A novelty watching an Ajax left back who can tackle.Gorter at 6 did well after 30 mins for Jong Ajax the previous night. Up front Don-Angelo Konadu the striker looks promising.

We have Rijkhoff in Jong,Konadu at U18 and Unuvar in u17 all 3 promising strikers.

I watched most of the U-18 game against PSV. Ajax were dominant in possession but conceded two really cheap goals (just like the senior team) and end up losing 2-3. Lots of quickness on the team and generally they kept PSV bottled up in their half. Janse conceded a weak PK in added time at the end of the first half and then PSV got the match winner off a poorly defended corner kick.

I too watched the game and Ajax gave away 3 points when they should have won. Last week I watched the U17 lose 2-1 to PSV and it was the same thing plenty of possession and giving away cheap goals.Just like the seniors.

Some reasonable players on show and it is good that next season it will be U19's as many are not ready for Jong. Alders and Gorter are 19 this year and a year older.

We are told results dont matter but players development is more important. If that is the case then why was Dies Janse playing U18 today when he should have played for Jong last night. Did well v De Graafschap , big tall lad who impresses and should be playing every game for Jong .
