I like this loan move more than getting Kamaldeen right now. Idrissi knows the Eredivisie and can help us with getting some rest for Tadic.

Promes is perplexing. He couldn't put a foot wrong with Ajax and the national team 18 months ago. The summer knife thing has completely messed him up.

Agreed and I think he has lost his mojo because of the summer incident plus Ziyech leaving.

Shows you how important Ziyech crosses from the right, deep into the 6 yard box were for Promes. I'm sure scoring those key goals were helping his overall confidence.

Idrissi is nothing special. He is just 4th choice winger behind Tadic, Neres and Antony. Remember these three have played on both sides of the flanks in their careers.

So we have two aging goal keepers who will keep a promising young one on the bench. I don't understand this at all.

Scherpen looks like going out on loan and if he does well then he can be our no 1 in 2022/23.Kotarski is not good enough and should get sold.

Scherpen got his big chance against Roma and did pretty bad. So I don't mind the loan move for him to get his confidence back up.

I've only seen Pasveer when he plays against us and usually does well. Both him and Steek are 37/38 years old and injuries only go up at this age. So, it's good that the backup goalie is solid.

We have signed a highly rated Belgium youth Int called Stanis Idumbo Muzambo an attacking MF from Gent. He is 16 in June and signs a contract to June 2024

Ajax need a back up striker as Traore and Danilo dont appear good enough.We would have to spend 10m plus on a decent backup but if we can get Brobbey back for say 5m I would do it.Seems crazy buying back a player from our youth who wont have actually left.

Only problem is Raiola who seems to have had a big influence on the deal.Raiola is Gravenberch's agent but father ,an Ajax fan ,has a big influence on Ryan and what is good for his career.

Not sure Raiola has a grievance against Ajax and would therefore try to block such a (bizarre) deal. I think he sees Ajax as a cash cow that he keeps taking advantage of. As such Ajax's interest is not more or less than a fresh opportuntity for him to make money off his clients' attractiveness to clubs other than the one that employs them. His optimal outcome is probably a bidding war between Ajax and someone else....

Brobbey should be feeling like a bit of a fool, but as he's 19 years old he probably doesn't

Side note; if this does work out (all be it with Ajax losing several million euros for nothing) it goes to show the value of acting with grace and maturity throughout the situation towards Brobbey.

Don't watch the Jong Ajax enough, nor claim to have the expertise, but all the podcasts I listen to and articles I read said that Bobbey (and Rijkhoff who we lost on a free to Dortmund too this season) were the biggest chances for Ajax to develop their own world class striker for the last 25 years.

Quite weird situation with Brobbey. If the price is in the 5-7M range - I feel it's worthwhile to bring him back.

Trouble is - he'll most likely still continue with Raiola as his agent.
