Ryan Babel to Hoffenheim for €5 million, is the story on S.S.N.

Liverpool have confirmed the transfer and Babel needs only to negotiate personal terms with the Bundesliga side. Could end up being a good move for him as Hoffenheim clearly need a striker.

Urby went the full 90 in a cup match that Milan won 2-1. Picked up an assist. Babel went the full 90 for Hoffenheim in a 1-0 defeat in a cup match. At least they are both starting!

Aron Winter and Bob de Klerk have a few former Ajax players on trial right now with Toronto FC at their preseason camp in Turkey. They are striker Javier Martina and left back Kevin Westmaas who was previously part of the youth system at Ajax.

I saw some of the preseason action on TV against Red Star and Partizan and I have to say they seem to be implementing the Ajax system on TFC pretty effectively.

I'll second that 'thank you'. Always interesting to follow what Johnny O is up to. It's a real shame that his career was cut so short -- but it sounds as if he's got his head around it and moving on in a positive direction.

his career after ajax...hmm...i faintly remember a stint at inter, then everton (where his dogs were stolen) and then psv.

he was a good sale. we got 7 million for him. he scored a nice goal against as roma in the CL, but that's all i remember.

According to reports in the Dutch press (Algemeen Dagblad, for example) Urby Emanuelson is now 100% and definitively out of favor at AC Milan. They consider him a bad buy and want to get rid of him a.s.a.p. Can't say I'm surprised. The only person in the world who believed he'd get a serious chance there was Urby himself (sadly, I don't even think his agent thought he would).

Reportedly, AC Milan now want to buy... our man Maxwell.

Urby wasalmost out of contract, so he was very cheap. I seriously believe AC Milan only bought him as an investment: "Hmm, let's see... He played for Ajax, had a few games for Holland... That's pretty sexy and he will cost us only 1.7 million euros. Even if we don't give him a minute of playing time and sell him again after two months, we'll still make a profit, so let's do it, even though we don't really want him."

Pretty evil, but I think that's how it works.
