Ik vind zijn interviews alijd erg cliche-matig en snap niet een twee drie waarom hij de trainer van jong-Ajax zou moeten zijn.

Gery werd als coach van Jong Ajax naar voren geschoven toen Albert van der Dussen (een Haagse bekende van Martin Jol) het bij dat team voor gezien hield en voor veel buitenstaanders was hij toen een verrassende naam. Toch is Vink zeer ervaren in het profvoetbal, hij heeft 10 seizoenen bij FC Wageningen gespeeld in de tijd dat die club in de Eredivisie nog weleens Ajax, Feyenoord of PSV een nederlaag bezorgde en is als jeugdtrainer onder meer bij Vitesse en PSV werkzaam geweest voordat hij in 2006 bij Ajax in dienst ging.

Hij wordt door spelers zowel geroemd om de oefenstof (fanatieke trainingen, veel op techniek en positiespel, de echte Ajax school zeg maar) als om de persoonlijke aandacht die hij iedereen geeft. Of het nu 'verschoppelingen' zijn die Mounir of Ismael heten of jonge, aanstormende talenten, hij kan er goed mee overweg. Pluspunt is ook dat de ambitie van Gery Vink is om spelers klaar te stomen voor het eerste, hij wil gewoon echt graag bijdragen aan voetballers hun opleiding en de ontwikkeling van het individu. De wens om hoofdtrainer van een club te worden heeft hij niet.

'Twee Roemenen op proef bij Ajax'

SCOUTING OP STOOM - Volgens diverse Roemeense media, waaronder het vrij grote Prosports en het gerenommeerde Mediafax, krijgt Ajax twee Roemeense talenten op proef. Het zou gaan om Bogdan Tiru (centrale verdediger, 18 jaar) en Cristian Gavra (spits, 19 jaar).

Gemeld word dat de spelers maandag in Amsterdam aangekomen zijn en een week de tijd zullen krijgen om zich te bewijzen tijdens een stage bij Jong Ajax. Tiru liep in maart al stage bij Ajax en kreeg toen te horen dat hij in de smaak viel. Voor Gavra betekent dit zijn eerste stage bij Ajax.

Tiru en Gavra zijn actief bij de voetbalschool van George Hagi en de voorzitter van die school, Paul Peniu, laat weten dat Ajax ook interesse heeft in de achttienjarige Gabriel Iancu. De linksbenige middenvelder, die ook al in maart stage liep bij Ajax, is echter doorgeschoven naar het eerste elftal, waardoor hij niet beschikbaar is voor een proefperiode. Ajax zal Iancu moeten scouten in Roemenië, als de interesse serieus is.

Foot Mercato: First Fabian, could you tell us about your background?

Fabian Sporkslede: My full name is Fabian Sporkslede Mitchel. I was born August 3, 1993 in Amstelveen. I started very early to play football. My brother Justin and my father played the NFC, so I started 5 years. After two years, I went to the AFC Amsterdam. I was spotted by AZ Alkmaar, where I played again for two years before the Ajax asks me to play for his academy. In my second season at the club, Ajax offered me a contract for three seasons. I had the opportunity to go play for Chelsea, but first I want to shine in the Netherlands before moving to England. During the month of May, Ajax offered me a new contract and I signed until 2015. I'm from the Dutch U15 international, and I played last May for U19 in Prague. I live at home with my big brother Justin, who also plays football, my mother and father. FM: What are your main qualities in the field?

FS: I play as a defensive midfielder last season. Before, I played primarily as a central defender right. Team in the Netherlands U19, I also played right-back. I think have very good capabilities in terms of tactical and technical science. I play with both feet. I'm fast, and then I'm a winner.

FM: What are the players that inspire you?

FS: When I was younger I was a big fan of Brazilian Ronaldo. But that inspires me most is Clarence Seedorf. He just like me Surinam, and that's a good person on the ground like outside.

FM: You who have spent most of your classes as a central defender, a player like Jan Vertonghen you like it?

FM: As Barca or Arsenal, Ajax is a club with a true philosophy of play, from the youngest to the first team. What could you tell us about the identity of game?

FS: The academies of Barcelona and Ajax have exactly the same philosophy of play Both are looking for technically gifted players, who can apply what passing game. They still play offensively, football fun, and it starts from the youth teams. Arsenal is the club of my dreams! I am in awe of Arsenal and I hope to play there one day.

FS: Of course. I hope my turn to become an icon for those who love football. But before we get there, I must work hard to make me a regular place in the first team.

FM: Ajax has recently enjoyed a successful generation, with elements like Eriksen, Vertonghen or Van der Wiel. What can you say about these players?

FS: All these players have really a great future ahead of them. I had the opportunity to play with Eriksen, it has everything to become a star. Van der Wiel and Vertonghen them are already stars, and I think they will be even more. And they are also good guys off the field.

FM: Dan coaching, as the former De Boer and Bergkamp are present. What do they bring to the club and you young?

FS: When I heard that Frank de Boer was my coach at the U19 level, two years ago, I was really happy, because he was a champion and I really wanted to learn from him. FS: Ilan and I played together in the U19 national team. His mother is Dutch and his father is a big fan of Ajax. Ilan is a good player, I spend every day looking to go to training. Ilan and I play the same position, but I think we can play together.

FM: It is said that many clubs, like Bayern, AC Milan, Juventus, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Olympique Lyonnais, but also follow you. Have you heard?

FS: After the Series Next Gen, there have been many rumors about big clubs who wanted to recruit us. But ultimately, there was my friend Ouasim Bouy who left for Juventus. We all stayed at Ajax, because we think really do great things for this club.

FM: There are many talents in the Eredivisie to go abroad to advance. Is it too early for you?

FS: I will not speak for others but for me I thought it was too early to go abroad. Everyone is different, some are more mature than others at the same age.

FM: So you recently extended your contract. Is it a true honor for you?

FS: Yes, I was really honored and proud to sign a new contract with Ajax. It is the dream of all young people, and I saw him.

FM: What are your ambitions for this season?

Net op internet gekeken naar de supercupwedstrijd van de belofte. Wedstrijd was wel ok, maar spelers staken er bovenuit. Eriksen speelde een prima wedstrijd, Denswil, Koppers en Sporkslede ook prima. Ebicilio was heel erg slecht, Kessel was ook heel erg matig en Derk maakte ook een nog niet wedstrijdfitte indruk. Kwam z'n man helemaal niet voorbij en geen 1 voorzet kwam aan.

Sulejmani en Wiel trouwens ook een bedroevend slechte wedstrijd. Serero wisselde hele aardige momenten af met mindere. Kan zeker wel voetballen, maar het komt er niet helemaal uit.

Die gaat echt binnen een paar weken in de basis van het eerste komen. Hoesen speelt voorin voor het eerst en doet het goed. Heeft niet 1x balverlies geleden en is steeds dreigend.
