Not sure what to say about the midfield, they just have no way to create chances against a set defence because they all suck at passing. I guess Klaassen does what he can to play with his first or second touch but he is not super gifted technically. Hato makes more chances than Godts and Gaaei is us...

The usual recipe, Ajax was really poor for 60+ minutes and then started getting chances in the final 30. It has worked a lot this season but not today.

Only six points required from the last three games but really I don’t think we can complain if we finish second with a squad this poor.

At least Edvardsen is playing the ball quickly.

Farioli hasn’t made many HT subs recently but I think Fitz-Jim or Mokio need to come on for Traoré.

I don’t think they’ll be expecting PSV to drop points although it may happen against Feyenoord.

One positive thing is that Utrecht are breathing down Feyenoord’s neck so there will be plenty at stake when Feyenoord play PSV.

Fair result although the scoreline was a bit extreme. Ajax created no serious danger until the 92nd minute.

It would be nice if Brobbey scored more, and he’s missed a few chances this season, but he doesn’t really get the ball in goal scoring situations that often. Compare it to Haller who IIRC scored a lot of tap ins from being free inside the 6 metre box. This Ajax doesn’t create those chances very ofte...

I’m fairly sure Farioli was planning to sub Berghuis right before he scored. He was just unbelievably bad in the first half.

I do get frustrated watching them struggle to move the ball against weak teams. Not really any one player’s fault, but very few in the team can pass the ball!

Nice goal by Mokio and that should do it.

Note the difference between Edvardsen moving the ball on straight away and Godts who constantly dribbles into defenders in that situation!

If Feyenoord win their catch up game on Wednesday they will be 5 points behind PSV in third. May not matter in the end but we probably want them to keep winning so that they are in the race for second place when they play PSV at home in round 32.
