My two-pennies worth is that this competition should still be for the champions of each country. It just devalues the whole thing when you end up with say the 4th placed team in the EPL entering. For gods sake we could have Everton in the competition next year - what a mockery.

Now the dust has settled, lets congratulate Danny Blind on succeeeding in probably reaching one of his life's ambitions. He must be a really proud and happy man at the moment - lets hope for all of our sakes that he stays that way.

Just in case anybody doubts my commitment to the red & white - I will be attending 13 Ajax eredivisie home games this season and even attended a preseason friendly in Holland. My blood is red & white.
