The last one before PSV vs Ajax, so will the players please keep that in mind, yellow card-wise... (Huntelaar and Heitinga will be suspended if thy pick one up, I believe).

I think Heitinga can survive one yellow card. From then on he will be suspended on match for every yellow card he receives.

Huntelaar just has to be smart as there's absolutely no reason for a striker to get a yellow card.
Heitinga on the other hand always plays on the edge, so I'm still a bit worried about the series of tough opponents that we're facing. He's close to being booked pretty much every game.

Yeah, just like Gabri... It would be a bit of a miracle if both of them are available for the Feyenoord game.

KJH's yellow cards are always pretty daft (normally silly fouls out of frustration), so it should be very well possible for him to behave himself for a couple of weeks.

Also Suárez will be suspended if he gets a yellow card.

I think Heitinga has had as many shots at goal as anyone else so far. Right at the end of the first half Rommedahl crossed it over and who was there for the shot...................Heitinga......which says a lot about the way Huntelaar is playing.

Silva looks OK though.

Defence is rotten we all know but not helped when our midfielders and forwards give the ball away outside our own penalty box. Both goals conceded were fault of awful passes by midfield and attack.

Can we please sign a player who can actually hold on to the ball and pass to a team mate ffs.

I think we actually had a very good first half after Vitesse's goal, and an excellent start of the second half.

Now? Anything can happen, but I don't think 2-2 will be the final score...

Next up: Ajax v PSV.

Five points behind.

Exactly what we wanted to avoid.

Fuck that.

Very true.

Mmmm, I'd say Urby's oft-demonstrated inability to defend simple situations was the main reason we conceded two very soft goals.

Sammi Kuffour, where are you? :ajaxsmiley.gif:

A slip up against them and we could very well say bye bye to the title...we need to come in big...sure glad Perez is on our side and not theirs.

How did Silva play ?

I thought KJH was to blame for the first one. He lost the ball in a very daft way, the whole defense was out of position and a simple thru-ball was enough to send Junker on his way.

The second one... My God, Urby. One high ball that gets flicked on - and the boy is gone. Everything Jamcocteau says about the midfield and the forwards is very true, but Vitesse's second goal was a typical example of a goal that would not have gone in with Jaap Stam (or a bloke like Kuffour) standing on the penalty spot.

Not going to deny that Urby's positioning on the 2nd goal was awful but Arnhem should never have had the chance in the first place. Ajax had taken the ball out of the penalty box and were on the counter attack. One misplaced pass when two players were available to pass to turned attack for Ajax into a goal for them.

Now I know our defence is woeful but our midfield and attack have got to take some of the blame too. Too often we lose the ball in promising positions with too many men forward giving opponents chance to attack our useless defence in numbers.

I honestly believe that in each area, defence, midfield and attack, that the component players do not act as a unit at all. There seems to no understanding between them that when one players losses the ball there should be somebody near by to counter this. And then there is the fact that defence, midfield and attack do not appear to gel as a team. There really appears to be a lack of co-ordination between each unit.

As well as the obviously required new central defender I really do believe we need one more midfielder as well. One who can sit in front of the defence to stop opposition attacking but also when ball comes out of defence who can then change defence into attack or hold the ball up until team mates are in a positon to pass too.

We seem to have let in a lot of goals this season due to Urby's poor defending.I still think we need a new left back who can defend. He is good at going forward but cannot defend.
