The first home game!

I can't wait!

Suárez: no diving, please!

Will you also be this tolerant to Farfán or Makaay if they win a penalty against us with a blatant dive?

What do you expect to be the line-up?
Your predictions for the match?
And where can I find a match preview?

Suarez and KJH should definitely start and be paired together. Stam, Heitinga, Urby for sure. Colin and Vermaelen (sp?) too probably. Then Gabri and Kennedy. Maduro after last time's performance as well?

Prediction: 2-1 or 2-0 to Ajax. Suarez, KJH (Suarez assist)

There's a fair chance, I would say... One thing's for sure: Schilder is finished. He had his chance and he did not exactly take it.

The only thing: Schilder played on the left, so a left-footer would be a better idea. I still feel that Jan Vertonghen is the best man to play instead of Davids for as long as he's out, so...

Stekelenburg; Heitinga, Stam, Vermaelen; Gabri, Kennedy, Vertonghen, Urby; Kennedy, Huntelaar, Suárez.

K.

Say, that Kennedy's a good player as he's playing twice.

Yeah.

When Ajax bought him they said he's a right winger and a number 10, so there you go...

Well, alright: Rommedahl on the right wing. :blush.gif:

I wouldnt say hes finished just yet, if Ajax lack the wall at the back and put Heitinga back in defense, theres a good chance of Schilder along with Maduro to take the job.

But this season pretty much decides both player's fate.

And wouldn't you play Urby on the left side defence with Vertonghen in front of him?

Well, I'd prefer a bit less of the blatent cheating too. We're Ajax and should sign great football players not great actors. What about Rivaldo in the World Cup against Turkey - or is that OK too if it's our cheater? :afca.gif:

I'd be rather cautious about this one and save some key players for the game in Prague : we will need out best line-up for this crucial one.

He was injured in pre-season and missed almost all of the friendlies. He is now medically fit, but I can understand that the staff wanted to see him play for Young Ajax first, before declaring him 'match fit'.

That's why Vertonghen played the full 90 minutes against Young FC Zwolle on Monday, with both Martin van Geel and Henk ten Cate in attendance.

I'm sure he'll return to the squad for the Heerenveen game, and I'm also pretty sure that Ten Cate won't play Robbert Schilder again. Vertonghen? Who knows, especially now that we've lost another midfielder: Gabri has picked up a knee injury and won't play against Heerenveen.

Maduro and, perhaps, Vertonghen to start, is what I expect.

Gabri wordt gespaard voor Champions League
Ajax-trainer Henk ten Cate neemt in de aanloop naar de voorronde van de Champions League tegen Slavia Praag geen enkel risico met Gabri.

No risk taken : Gabri will rest to be fit for the game in Prague.

I am pleased to inform you that HTC has heard me. It's the beginning of a new partnership. :drecul.gif:

Yeah, that's good news. For a minute I thought we were talking about a real injury here. He did pick up a knock against De Graafschap, and the knee is a bit swollen, but keeping him sidelined against Heerenveen is more like a precaution. Which is good.

Gabri set to miss the heerenveen game through injury...2 Questions
1: Will Maduro replace him in midfield?
2: Will Gabri be fit for the game against Slavia Prague?

The answer to your question was already there:

1. Maybe. Also people are expecting Vertonghen to play in his position (?)
2. Yes. He is only being rested as a precaution.

Anyways what formation do you expect now? Earlier I was thinking on the lines of:

-------------- Stekelenberg ---------------
---Heitinga---Stam----Vermaelen---Urby---
---Gabri-------Vertonghen-------Maduro---
------Kennedy------KJH------Suarez-------

OR

-------------- Stekelenberg ---------------
---Heitinga---Stam----Vermaelen---Urby---
---Gabri-------Vertonghen-------Maduro---
------------------Kennedy-----------------
--------------KJH------Suarez-------------

But now we may see Rommedahl playing in the wings like:

-------------- Stekelenberg ---------------
---Heitinga---Stam----Vermaelen---Urby---
---------Vertonghen-------Maduro-----------
------------------Kennedy--------------------
-----Rommedahl-------KJH------Suarez-----

i am sure schilder wont play but is it too soon to write off this kid after 45 mins?.He did not get very much playing time pre season. If Ten Cate
has writen him off then it looks as though he will have to head back to Heracles!
