I notice Perez wasn't deemed good enought to start .... AGAIN.

And to be honest wish he had left him on the fucking bench, as he should have done last sunday too.

Anyway, cant really say too much. Didnt create enough chances throughout the game. Huntelaar and Wesley had headers in 2nd half which went close but there was never any other really clear cut chances created.

Seemed to be lack of urgency in the team in the last 15 mins when we knew we had to score.

Looks like being a heavy night for the police in town. Already huge police presence in Leidseplein, with few clowns taunting them and letting off fireworks etc.

so what ?

It's the DUTCH fucking league, buddy.

Not that it's related but I just realised that there are NO English players in the Arsenal line up today. In fact there isn't even a single player from the British Isle.

Bloody f**king disgraceful... .

As has already been noted this is purely our own fault for screwing up....

Having said that, my son was very suspicious of P$V's "easy" goals in their game. Maybe he's lived in Belgium too long.....maybe not......

I take it we played 4-3-3 with our so called left winger who can't cross with his left foot? With De Mul having a relatively poor game ( according to Zoef) I can imagine why Huntelaar had next to no chances to score.

Un-believable.

I watched the AZ game on Setanta with my sons, all of us sitting on the couch in pyjamas, curled up like nervous kittens. We went from rooting for Excelsior without really believing - based on the first 5 minutes, it looked like it would be a goal-fest and a party for AZ - to really cheering for Excelsior as they went a goal and a man up - to finally rooting desperately for AZ to score the late winner, once the 5-1 scoreline from Eindhoven came across. Far better for AZ, a team I actually like, than for PSV, who deserve to be relegated based on the way they've played, tail between legs.

What a f***king heartbreak for AZ fans. Tragic. A class team, an historic stumble... and I hate to say it, but it all turned on Tim de Cler, who got torn apart by the Excelsior winger and left his goalkeeper with no option but to take him down.

And now the idiot Farmers fall ass-backwards into the championship, thanks to a non-performance by Vitesse. My only hope is that PSV show some balls by firing Koeman anyway. Actuallly, I hope he stays. That would mean PSV will be sh*t again next season.

I was at the de hems today, it was agony and ecstasy, o well...we got heerenveen in the play offs, lets hope we get Stam back intime, we need him to stop Alves who scored against Feyenoord just as he did all season, like a madman, 35 goals so far i think.

yup, and koevermans came even closer to a title clincher than KJH did... he hit the post late

the stupid farmers win the title by 2 inches over 34 games

Back from the ArenA.... It was great. Until that fucking goal of Cocu. What a disaster, didn't expected this. AZ lose, Vitesse roll over PSV, and Willem II do everything they can to not concede goals (what about trying to attack ?). It can't be serious...

Cocu anounced that this was the last game for him as psv player: "This is a beautiful moment to quit, this was my final match for PSV," the 36-year-old midfielder said. "I already decided a while ago, but to avoid unsettling the team, it was better to announce it after the final match. Until then it was a case of keep the calm around the club. I don’t know if I will continue elsewhere, but certainly not in Holland."

Looks like he maybe coming to Australia. Sydney FC...

Well at least I can continue to boo him in another team that I dislike.

I think we have to be honest though. Its a home and away season over 36 games. Yes, we lost by a single goal (let me check that again...still cant believe it), but PSV really should have wrapped this up long ago.

Also, if anyone should feel hard done by today its the AZ supporters. A single goal win against the 2nd bottom side and you lose. Thats just plain poor. They were also the better side all year, in terms of true attacking football.

What I am afraid of now, is not making the CL playoffs next season. Heerenveen wont be easy, Twente or AZ either.

Not giving up hope though...never!

No, other than Urby's goal Ajax never showed the fast-tempo wanting to score mentality like AZ and even PSV.

Oga and Gabri did do some good combinations, but the attack was fruitless. Babel got the ball quit often but being a lousy winger as he is, didnt work. De Mul and Mitea both didn't have any luck, and Huntelaar was left alone.

Even when lads like Sneijder or Perez shouldve passed to him they didnt, Huntelaar was virtually on his own in this game.

Vermaelen was VERy shakey i got really scared at some points. But Maarten was scary as well, unable to get balls, and giving them away

btw fuck PSV

I had wanted to say that as well... Over the course of 36 games, we've just not been good enough. It should never have come down to this and it can't be said that we didn't have opportunities. I think even if we win through the playoffs, we may come unstuck in the ECL qualifiers like we did this year.

I think one of the certainties of NOT winning the league is that Sneijder is off and if we don't have a good European run next season both Klaas and Urby will be leaving too... .

So, question: What would have happened if Ajax and PSV had been tied on goal-differential at the end? Is there another tie-breaker, or do they play a game to decide it all? Coin toss? Head coaches with pistols at 30 paces?

Yeah, I was just remembering this for the staff... They did a good job, they defended like madmen their 15th place that no one else could have claimed. Must be the reason... What a bunch of losers. :mad17.gif:

The criteria are:

1. number of points
2. goal-differential
3. number of goals scored
4. head-to-head result
