Will we return to winning ways against NAC Breda?

And if we do: will PSV lose even more points?

I have no idea...

Oh yeah: Wesley Sneijder picked up a very daft and unprofessional yellow card against RKC (for mowing someone down out of frustration in the 94th minute), which means that he will be suspended against NAC Breda.

Well if psv loses coming weekend, we still be second, because AZ has a better goaladvantage...

Damn.. from being the title-favorite, we're becoming 'highly unlikely' for the championship....

It wasn't a yellow, replys show a dive. But whatever. Sneijder didn't perform yesterday other than score, so I really hope Perez plays.

NAC did lose 4-1 against AZ, so they'll be in bad shape, yet still tough.

MAN EREDIVISIE EXCITMENT OR WHAT? :cheer:

I can see Ajax winning 4-0 or 5-0 and rest assure fellows Eredivisie will go to Amsterdam, if they dont then my name is not Ayman.

I'm not too sure. Unlike PSV, AZ have a midweek European fixture coming up in which a semi-final slot is actually at stake. It'll be a tough battle in Bremen. I don't think AZ will beat Vitesse just like that.

And if they do, they have another midweek fixture next week (against NAC for the cup; AZ are the only title contenders who have two midweek knock-out fixtures in the decisive weeks), just before the home game against Heerenveen, which won't be an easy one either, as Heerenveen are still battling Feyenoord for the 5th slot on the table (= play-off participation).

All in all, AZ easily have the toughest schedule (because of these two midweek fixtures). I must admit: they look more consistent and solid than Ajax and PSV at the moment, but they won't get it for free.

You're right Ko. AZ have a tougher schedule, but the way that they play... its just so solid.

And then again, Ajax has been given numerous opportunities and we managed to waste them all...

And they have the best manager of the lot, by a lightyear.

Yeah I was thinking about that too. Van Gaal is one of the best managers of the world. Especially when he can work with young talents.

For Ajax there are a few managers that can handle the job.

Van Gaal
Adriaanse
Henk ten Cate

And in that order... Ten Cate is capable, but sometimes you can see that he is a bit unexperienced in some situations.

Van Gaal is really the best you can have.

I could not put it any better than you...

They have someone who can get the best out of the squad for crucial games, don't they ?

if van gaal would be a great one, he would take Netherlands in to 2002 WC, but he didn't, so he isn't great one. and his arrogance sometimes piss me of

We're drifting off topic here...

Van Basten, I have replied to this in the Former Ajax Coaches thread.

Back on topic in this one, please: Ajax vs NAC!

AT5: Perez vervangt Sneijder tegen NAC

We'll see if it's true but that's a good sign...

That would be awesome. HTC just can't continue to ignore the guy.

we stuck on those long range shots, we should bring more balls inside the penalty area. best man on the field so far - vermaelen. he 3 times saved us from big big troubles. 1-0 is so fu*king dangerous.. we have to score another to feel more comfortable. if we won't score in first 20min in second half, players can begin fluster, that means do mistakes. so come on you guys, kill them fast!

Yeah, Vermaelen had a few very important interventions - could've been a shitty night but for him.

Thank F*ck Perez was on the field ... wouldn't have trusted any of the other guys to take the penalty.

Perez as captain :D ... has someone given HTC a kick up the arse :D

Anyway, top of the league for now. Let's see what happens over the next couple of days - think we might remain as Number 1  :eusa_pray:
