So, the 'winter break' has started. It's not much of a break for the players: they fly to South Africa for an eleven day training camp/promotional trip on Monday 08 January.

For the supporters the winter break is a bit longer: three weeks, to be precise. The first league game of 2007 is the 21 January home fixture against FC Utrecht.

Not an easy way to restart the season but then again Utrecht have not been having a very good season. Let's hope we start the second half of the season like we started the first half, but lets keep it that way till the end !!!!

Utrecht will be without three of their usual starters in defense: Dickoh, Keller and Braafheid are not available. Coach Foeke Booy has added some second teamers to the squad. Right. We should beat this lot anyway and we definitely must beat them now.

By the way: the Utrecht fans 'boycott' the game once again... Yaaaaawn. This is getting silly. They're always moaning about that the fact that 'Ajax away' is a combi for them. I hate combis too (everybody does), but let's face it: for games between Ajax and Utrecht it's perfectly understandable. It never stops us from going there; that's for sure. But they never show up in Amsterdam. They just don't make an appearance and then they call it a 'boycott'. Yeah, right. Piss off. Famous for not travelling, is what I say. Simply no f*cking travelling support.

I wouldn't mind seeing a replacement for Gabri. Maybe seeing it on video stream you don't get the big picture, but the part I can see, it doesn't seem like he's really in the game.
