Suggest we play the new Ajax board game just out for Christmas - In it the team that can pick out the most positives from a s**t game like this one wins.
As anyone can see the biggest positive from this game is that ......... uhmm lets see ............ I know .................... its a nice sunny day in Rotterdam.

Are there any positives? There's a lack of direction and discipline at the moment. Too many changes in personel and formation, Prague being the example!

Roll on next Sunday......I think! OH GOD! It's 3-0 now!!

3-0 final score.

Over the course of the season Wesley will get us more points than he loses us but he didnt have the cleverest 30 seconds in his Ajax career today. He could see a tackle coming in from Vlug & just decided to jump into him, knees up & studs showing,to protect himself.Quite rightly he was booked & then decided to gob off at the ref & recieved another caution. At that point you would expect a few players to step up to the plate & raise their game but unfortunately many of them became anonymous.Only Perez seemed to show any battling abilities & once he went off at half time the game was lost.I often wonder how much Wesley carries this team at times,& with Perez off & the Hunter looking out of sorts 3-0 was a fair result.

Special mention to Gabri by the way,you only knew he was playing when he got substituted X'C

Sneijder didn't get a second yellow, he got a yellow and immediatly after that a red card after insulting the refferee. Sneijder says he made his remark against his opponent and it was something which is said hundreds of times during a game according to him.

still not very sensible. I'm sure it was something he's said before but right in front of the referee just after he'd been booked :nooo: . Still, it proves our players are human and hopefully he won't do that again in a hurry.

Sneijder clearly lied in his TV interview, which made Ten Cate look spectacularly stupid when he repeated the lie in his own interview. I hope Henk smacked little Wesley around the head after he eventually saw a video of the incident.

Match report is now up on Ajax USA!

http://www.ajax-usa.com/matches/m06-07/ ... e-3-0.html

I know: I still owe you the FC Twente match report... That one never happened, because I was simply too busy (and travelling as well). I will write it, though, if only to keep our archives complete. Some time this week, for those interested.

Settlements as proposed by the KNVB today...

Wesley Sneijder: suspension of two games, plus one conditional
Henk ten Cate: 500 euros fine

Both Ajax men have turned the proposals down. Their cases will now be forwarded to the prosecutor of the KNVB (and if you ask me there is a pretty serious risk that Sneijder will end up with a suspension for more than two games...).

Great report, as usual... :xyxthumbs:

And I love your signature btw, it's exactly how I felt yesterday. 11 yellow and 2 red cards in two games are a bit too much...
