Five minutes left looks like we'll have to be content with a draw away from home.

1-1 is not a bad result away. Remember FCK is a strong team, stronger than many of us might think.

Full time great great result we should be in the drivers seat now, Copenhagen is going to have to score twice in Amsterdam and withstand the Hunter's wrath if they want to go through.

I see that somewhat hard to acomplish

HUP AJAX !!!!!! :xyxthumbs:

Full time! Stekelenburg made an important save on overtime. Ryan Babel was good. That's the information I could get from danish radio.

Nice summary of FCK. I hope you're right and Ajax wins, but I'm not confident. I think a goal-scoring away draw and a 1-0 win at home is a best-case scenario.

Who is this moron? What is he talking about?

Ok, we have won this game :cheer: :cheer: . But as I've read Ajax didn't play good and we should thank God that we have KJH.

2-1 is a good result, we have 2nd game on our own stadium, so I think we are going to qualify to Champions League.

Bad news is that I've lost my money because of Chievo's defeat agains Levski Sofia X'C X'C . I am almost 100% sure that it was my last time in bookies...

Oh ye of little faith ;) Ajax wore out FCK in the second half. Two solid goals from the hunter and a great save by stex in overtime. Stam was IMO the difference compared to last year's away game against Brøndby. FCK was better in the first half. Dont forget they had a deflection of the post and disrupted ajax's build up. However I dont expect Ajax to throw this one away in the Arena.

oh yea and like I texted my friend: I hope Babel left his calling card. Otherwise Jacobsen will never find out what flew by him hehe

I love that big German striker! ;-)

Don't think it's an American news program; my guess is Canadian.

Excellant match report.

After my moans of the Moan U game last week my son's friend told me Iwas over reacting as it was only a friendly. KJH was obviously saving himself for Copenhagen.

I too believe Stam will be a big difference.

Huntelaar the hero
Striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar was the hero for AFC Ajax as he struck twice to secure a 2-1 win at FC København and leave the Dutch side strongly placed to advance to the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Late winner
The Dutch Under-21 international opened the scoring and although Brede Hangeland drew FCK level on the stroke of half-time, Huntelaar silenced the crowd of 40,014 spectators inside the Parken stadium by firing in the winner with six minutes remaining.

FCK start strongly
FCK now have it all to do in this third qualifying round tie but they can at least take heart from a strong first-half performance. Unlike Ajax, the Danish champions went into this match with six games - domestic and European - under the belt and they soon had the visitors under pressure. The Swedish pair of Marcus Allbäck and Fredrik Berglund both threatened moments inside the first ten minutes.

Headed goals
Midfielder Michael Silberbauer then dribbled his way towards the Ajax goal before sending a shot flying just over the crossbar. It was against the run of play then that Ajax stole in front after 37 minutes. From a free-kick out on the left, Thomas Vermaelen flicked the ball on and Huntelaar headed home. The lead did not last long, though, as Hangeland got his head to a Tobias Linderoth free-kick moments before the half-time whistle.

Ajax take control
Linderoth's dead-ball skills almost led to a second FCK goal in the 51st minute as his corner from the left rebounded to safety off the post. Silberbauer went close soon afterwards but the Danish team struggled to fashion further openings as Ajax took control of the game.

Huntelaar steers ball home
FCK goalkeeper Jesper Christiansen had to make a good save from Wesley Sneijder's free-kick after 63 minutes and Ajax continued to push forward, finally earning their reward when Huntelaar met John Heitinga's cross to steer the ball home. FCK hit back in search of an equaliser but neither Allbäck nor Hangeland could find a way past keeper Maarten Stekelenburg.

I have to say that I think signing Jan Koller was unnecessary. ;)
