Yes, boys 'n girls: the second Amsterdam Tournament fixture!

Mind you: in the past the tournament was always on Friday and Sunday. This year it's Friday and Saturday. Don't know why.

Ajax vs Man-U. I say: a chance to damage Cristiano Ronaldo a little bit. Go Stam! Do it as a 'gift' to your good mate, Sir Alex!

that is if they don't sell Christiano Ronaldo before the tournament.

It's now likely that I might be in Amsterdam on Saturday for this game. Does anyone know if I'm likely to be able to get a ticket on the day? I've not got flights or anything sorted out yet but have got some time off work so it's a good possibility......

if you're in Amsterdam on time, before the shops close, I think it's possible to buy tickets at any ticketbox.

Yeah, it probably won't sell out. By the way: Carcajou will be in Amsterdam for the tournament as well. You might want to hook up and buy tickets together (so that you sit together). Do you have each other's numbers?

Now why would anybody want to damage wee Cristiano - the guy is a hero in certain parts of the UK and in Amsterdam come to think of it :cheer:

And before any of my beloved Southern neighbours get uppity I am only on the wind up :D

The problem just solved itself: Man U will leave him at home, because he only just went back in training and isn't match fit yet. No Cristiano Ronaldo this weekend.

Pretty dissapointing first half. Lots of poor passing, lack of clear ideas on the field and 2 scary free kicks from Manchester that hit the post. I know this is not our best starting eleven but we could do better.
I hope Perez wakes up and actually plays.

Watched both games and I thought we did well v Inter but yesterday I was depressed. The defence without Stam was woeful and we did not have an attack. Maduro was good and Schilder very versatile having played at leftback left central defence and left midfeld.

Only one thing cheered me up last night and that is Stam will play in defence.

The man is a giant and was superb on Friday and did have a positive effect on the defence.

The main reason I was depressed last night is that it was Moan U reserves.

Only VDSar, Giggs and Carrick will be regulars and the majority of their team were kids who wont get any games.

One question why did Babel not play??? I hope it is because he has a minor injury as reports state Torino are interested in him!!

If he is not to get playing time v Moan U reserves then sadly I think he will be on his way.Rosenberg looked poor and I cannot believe we would want to keep him at the expense of a highly rated young 19 year old.

Of the 4 new players Gabri and Roger should give some experience to our youthful midfield although Gabri on Friday looked like he might get afew red cards.
Ogararu looked good going forward but not defending, I would stick with Heitinga at right back to start.

As for Perez , first impresions in an AJAX shirt, what has he been signed for!!!
I hope he improves because he would never get in my starting line. ( Wouldn't play him in midfield and as for left wing, Mitea Manucharyian Babel come first)

PS I would not have signed him and he will have to improve a great deal .

Sir Alex thinks this might be the end of the line for the Amsterdam tourney. He says the pitch is poor and the referees are getting too card happy, so nobody is going to want to come.

Sir Alex is a grumpy old git who has a pickle up his ar$e.
The tournament will be around a lot longer than him at Man Ure.

Haha we're last again in the tournament how sad..

I thought Perez did pretty well in midfield in place of SNeijder. But common we can at least our keepers to make an attempt on free kicks

This game turned me off

Easy solution: don't invite Portugese teams. :xyxthumbs:
