I see where the U15 Oranje thrashed Belgium 4-0. Anyone know if Ajax youth are on this squad?

regards the U15 I didn't report Ajax kids at this age group but there were 8 in the squad and 2 other lads are joining us in the summer.

Dillon Hoogewerf a striker scored 3 in the game. He, midfelder Naci Unavar and defender Solomon Bonnah all play for Ajax U16 regularly.Clearly we have talent at U15 also U16 and U17.

I watched about an hour of last nights game just because de Ligt was playing . He certainly was as good as Van Dijk.If VD is worth 82 m euros I understand why Ajax have told Barcelona they want 60m for him. The game was poor and with all the subs used a non event.

English fans getting drunk and disgracing our country as always. When England play away no fans should be allowed. At all other sports I will always cheer for England but at football I stopped many years ago.

Yes, it was a poor match. Poor Koeman, he really doesn't have any good MF options. van de Beek right now is better than both Strootman and Wijnaldum but of course they both play for teams that are still in the Champions League. de Ligt was great except for the one time he bumped Rashford in the box which was a 50/50 penalty. He is so level headed and good on the ball that it's difficult to believe he is still only 18 years old!!! Much better than either Vertonghen or Alderwiereld at this age. Sadly, it will be some kind of miracle if he is with Ajax next season.

Think de Ligt will stay 1 more year ,he has indicated this. Agree midfield is poor, zero creativity. Although a very frustrating player they could do with Ziyech,he had a good game for Morocco.

Last season I dreamed of Frenkie ,Donny and Appie at Ajax 1st and then in the future with Oranje. Still think Frenkie will develop into a full International .

Update on other Ints.

U 18 lost their only game 3-1 to Italy ,Bakker and Ekkelenkamp both played.

U19 beat Norway 6-1,Nunnely a goal, and today lost 2-0 to Scotland. Nunnely played in both .( All 4 teams have won a game so U19 can still go through if they beat Germany)

U21 lost the friendly 4-1 to Belgium ,Eiting got 15 mins.

Didn't watch last night but 5 current and ex Ajax starting and Justin coming on and they win. Donny set up a goal and
evidently had a good game. Guess the bad news for Ajax is de Ligt set up 2 goals comfortably marked Ronaldo. No surprise at all but this kid is already too good for Eredivisie and would walk into nearly every team in the EPL.

Will be lucky to get 1 more year out of him and the first bid of 60m plus could see him go.

If he stays for one more season and Ajax do well in Europe then his value could potentially almost double.

I did see the game last night and de Ligt was one of the best players on the pitch; Donny had a very good match also. de Ligt's assist was marvelous as he was way forward and whipped in a cross that was better than any I've seen from any Ajax player this season. It's still amazing that de Ligt is only 18 years old!!! His current value is €60m at least and he could be sold for more than van Dijk was when he moved to Liverpool this season. He's also someone who wants to win and you could see his disappointment the other night when they lost to England. I do hope Ajax can qualify for CL football next season and assuming they are able to keep all the current starters, they should be able to play some nice football against stiff competition.

Koeman has the correct approach of playing three in the back the way Juventus and the Italian NT have been doning. With de Ligt, de Vrij, and van Dijk they have three world class defenders. Nathan Ake was in for de Vrij for most of last night and was solid as well. All this team needs is a solid playmaker in the MF and I would like to see Frenkie in the position. Let's hope when he returns from injury that he moves into the MF full time so he can show what he can do.

HT 0-0, V Gelderen and the Timbers playing also Gravenberch who looks a real prospect and had 3 good chances. A decent game unlike the dreadful Ireland game.

We are champs 2-2 after full time ,Brobbey scored the 2nd . Penalties dead easy we won 4-1 Italy missed their 1st x2.

Enjoyed watching the kids. Just hope we now contract Brobbey and Gravenberch.

In 2 and a half games Redan did nothing at all, not sure what all the hype is about .

Frenkie had a nice game. de Ligt was shaky in the first 10 minutes but then came on strong. van Dijk had one of the most perfect center defender matches I have ever seen. Just dominated the box and won every ball in the air.

It was many years ago that I attended a match of the Dutch national team live in the stadium, but I went to Johan Cruyff Arena for this one.

Perhaps the one who pushed me over the bar was SPL with last Sunday after the Ajax - AZ match his question "will you also go to the game next Saturday" ? :biggthumpup.gif:

A great 2 results for senior Oranje but a very brief update on Ajax kids in Dutch teams this last week.

U21 beat Latvia 3-0 and Ukraine 3-0 in Euro qualifiers but have not reached the finals next year.Eiting and Schuurs played v Latvia.Eiting returned with an injury.

U20 playing in an 8 team competition spread over Sept to Nov. 1-1 v Germany Sierhuis the goal and 4-1 v Poland de Wit 3 goals. Lang played also Nunnely and Bakboord played as subs.

U19 played the first qualifying group of 2019 Euros.5-0 v Faroes,6-0 v Bosnia and lost 2-1 to Ireland. They go through to a final qualifying round. Jurrien Timber,Botman, Ekkelenkamp and Gravenberch all played and Timber got a goal.

U18 played a friendly v Czech Rep won 2-1 Reiziger and Quinten Timber played ,Douglas and v Gelderen in the squad but not used

A couple of weeks earlier the U17 got through their first qualifying group of 2019 Euros with 3 wins. 6 Ajax played Brobbey,Pinas, Eddine,Hansen ,Raatsie,Kasanwirjo with Taylor a 7th but dropped out injured.
