After all the excitement — Juve really weren’t able to create danger the entire match, and only got the goal because Veltman stumbled on the corner. We could’ve had one or two more. Impressive and deserved win.

Got to say I was worried seeing sinkgraven coming on at left back, even more so when kean came on the right side of attack, but his defensive play and distribution in such a big game were second to none tonight best performance he has given at left back in an ajax shirt

22 years after that awful night in Italy against my MOST HATED team in the world and we got revenge today!

My friends kept asking me about tonight's game. I told them, I have a feeling we ain't losing. 2-2 was my prediction. Finally we got what we deserved and weren't outsmarted by the classic Italian way of play. God I hate them :drecul.gif:

90 million euros so far in CL income. absolutely insane.

overmars should use this opportunity to extend any contracts, sign new players, and get better sponsorship deals.

In my opinion we should really try hard to get Zlatan Ibrahimovic back in our team. He's still hungry, he would be a challenge for De Ligt and Tagliafico on the trainings ground on a daily basis.

Zlatan won league titles all over Europe, but as player at Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, AC Milan, PSG and Man United his CL campaigns have never been much better than his very first one with Ajax in 2002/2003.
I am sure Zlatan will have a lot of spirit to go all the way in the Champions League with a great team. Also he still wants to take revenge both on the club FC Barcelona as the manager Pep Guardiola, so he will be extremely motivated against two important CL contenders.

Yes people :ajaxscarf.gif: :ajaxscarf.gif: Ajax is a contender for both Manchester City as FC Barcelona and I think we've got quite a good chance beating them as well :argue.gif: :argue.gif:

Spurs are up next. What a wild game against ManCity. Two big VAR calls. Their attacker Son picked up a YC and is suspended for the first game.

Indeed a wild game :onfire.gif: but what a parody on defending by both Spurs and City. :smallgrin.gif:

But we can not become cocky, remember that Feyenoord :blush.gif: scored even 6 goals in one Eredivisie match :blush.gif: this season in our 6-2 loss :kots: in de Kuip in Rotterdam. :tranen.gif:

So can you imagine what a huge score for Feyenoord Rotterdam it would have been if the Dutchies would have sent Feyenoord to Madrid and to Turin instead of us. :drecul.gif: :biggrin.gif:

Also nice to hear them speak.

The Italian journalists admit we have a very good team:

Yes indeed. Eriksen was quite lucky on the dumb backpass at the end of the match as Aguero was off sides.
