Well this is over now. Suarez out with a Red card for a studs up challenge. Can't see a way forward. Poorly played on our part up to now anyway.

A 'double yellow' is always a one game. The ban after a straight red depends on the foul committed: the disciplinary committee of the KNVB will investigate it. I think Suárez will get away with two games, but it was a pretty hideous foul. Could be three.

Very, very stupid: picking up a straight red in such an unimportant match. He should have known that, for a straight red, he will also be suspended for league games (not just cup games).

I quess Sulejmani will have to stay for a week or 2 longer as there was talk he is off to West Ham after Paok .

If Suarez has to go off to his wife for the birth before Paok game then we will be out of the CL for sure.

So, it's two games plus one conditional. He will miss the first two league games (Groningen and Vitesse).
