He played the full 90 minutes against Porto yesterday on the right wing. Looked OK but the club as a whole had trouble finishing chances.

Jeffrey Sarpong sold to Real Sociedad? There's nothing on Ajax.nl just yet, but Real Sociedad are running it as news on their official website: read here, if you can read Spanish.

Thank God! I never liked this guy. Anyway we have Lindgren and Anita that can play in left midfield

Yes, and it states that they Real Sociedad has reached a three year agreement with the player. It's a cool club up in the Basque country of Spain and has a very passionate fan base. I wish Jeffrey all the good fortune in the world and hope he succeeds there. I think things are just too congested in the Ajax midfield for him. Edit added: Xabi Alonso started his football career with this club!

Reportedly 200,000 euros. Plus, he's off the payroll, of course.

200,000 ? Sounds like a great number for a player whose career at Ajax was finished . Well done to Ajax. Best of luck to Jeffrey Sarpong.
